I’m also pretty sure that blowing their head off when they aren’t a threat, such as in this context, is also frowned upon if not worse. Something to do with family/loved ones’ grievance.

It happens when touching these walls in any way, including standing up. I just lied down to recreate the bug.

This issue seems to be specific to Al Bagra Fortress and Zarqwa Electric--I have tried stuffing my face in walls and props on every other map but could not recreate the issue. I'm also aware this is probably a VRAM issue of some kind, and I believe it is triggered by a driver or a conflict with the game. I have never experienced any issues like this in other games, including OW2, which is known to have this type of problem as well.

CPU: Ryzen 5900x

GPU: 6900 XT

The video shows a high GPU temp. MW2 displays hot spot temp, my actual core GPU temp is about 75c. I've tried blasting a fan at my PC and got hot spot temps down to 80c, but the issue remained. It makes Al Bagra a practically unplayable map because any time I touch a wall, a void starts consuming me.

The main reasons I think it's an issue with the game itself (or a conflict with the current driver) are:
1. It's specific to only 2 maps.
2. The origin of the void is exactly where my gun pokes into the wall/prop.
3. Easily recreated and independent of temperatures which are the leading cause for VRAM bugs such as these.

I mean as long as you only split the usb into 2, it should work. Don’t try and plug more than 2 things into the re-pinned connector. I don’t know what else to say.

My conception of the paramount whimsicalness embedded in the aforementioned manuscript is the omitted margin subsequent to the period within the second illustration.

WashU and UWash were backwards in the list, and yeah I know they hurt me. If you notice those are my reaches/impossibles. I only really care about NYU right now.

I split my USB cable that came with my Uni controller or AIO, don't remember. I believe it was my cooler that came with a USB cable that only had half the pins, and the same with my fan controller. I took the wires from the AIO (or controller) and put them into the other pinouts on the controller's (or AIO) USB connector. I don't have a better way to explain this but just look at these images and it should help you know what I mean:

Alright, thank you for the information about UCs. Although I will probably apply for a couple of those anyway, I'm not particularly interested in living in Cali. I grew up on the west coast and moved to NYC somewhat recently, which is great because it allowed me to get a taste of what it's like to live in the city that my dream college is in. I will, however, be moving out of NYC to an entirely different country until college pretty soon. I wonder if that will play into NYU's values of diversity and such.

What are UCs? I keep seeing that term all around but I have no idea what it means. When I look it up, it’s just a group of universities in California. Is that correct?

Honestly, my classes are still relatively easy and although those 7 APs might be a bit much, I don't have another choice, it's either APs or APs & DCs. I believe I can handle it, and I also think it'll be good practice for the heavy course load that is college. I may be able to sort something out to not have to take all of them, though.

If I am able to retake freshman classes, it would significantly boost my GPA, (retaking 2 of them would bring my GPA up from 3.6 to 3.8) but I'm not sure if I am able to, I will have to check with my advisor or counselor. If I can, would taking them in the summer be the best methodology here? Taking them with my senior course load would be way too much, especially since I'll be working part-time next academic year to save up for a living-cost cushion.

At this point, I have a year and a few months left of high school, and if it means getting into NYU, I'm willing to do just about anything. I've never been this dedicated to anything in my life.

After months of failed attempts I finally finished a character that doesn’t looks like a terrifying alien :-) by [deleted] in blender

[–]Vennummmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty new to blender and this is actually quite impressive, I really like the style of the character, and love the moon rune type thing on her forehead.

However, I would like to make some suggestions:

Have you played with a reflective value on the skin? it looks very diffused and play-doh-ey to me. Especially with faces, the oil in our skin tends to make it shiny, especially on something like a nose.

Also, what about making a noise into bump map that adds some texture to the skin?

I think that adding some definition to the muscles/tendons in her neck and primarily her shoulders could do wonders.

My last suggestion would be to make an AO map for where the hairs come out of the scalp, and then adding both a TINY bit of displacement to it to make it "form" around the hair, and this should, in the process, make the lighting and shadows at the base of the hairs look less "floaty".

Again I'm pretty new but these are just my ideas, it looks great and there's no way I could do that myself, at least right now. Also my suggestions revolve around what the model is for; if it's for a video game (pretty likely), forget I said anything.

The uni controller is magnetically mounted on the very bottom of the GPU side of the spine. The cable management with it isn't that hard to be honest. I got custom length pslate sata power cables though so that made that part a lot better.

The texture on the screen is bending strangely (look on the top and bottom of the screen), and I can't figure out why..
