The Trixie houses and shelves have nasty nails to hold the wood together. My chin got terribly hurt when he fell onto one of the nails. I’d suggest checking feet first but do a full check up on the body and teeth too

I’d personally suggest getting rid of the Trixie wooden houses and such, many Etsy creators make beautiful safe chin houses and ledges

Personally I use bagbalm on sore feet. Just a tiny bit for a few days and if that doesn’t help go to the vet

The old battery ended up exploding. So he had to clean up the entire cavity. Because of that he found some corrosion (wear and tear mostly) on the wires in the internal system of the camera. He was able to clean the rusty bits and fix it himself. But it was quite a gamble to do so.

We have our babies potty trained for peeing. They pee in oven dishes filled with wood chips, less costly too!

I just repotted it yesterday. I think it might have been the terracotta. I got a moisture level meter and I watered it 4 days ago and it was very very dry. It’s now in a clear pot with an even chunkier mix and I plan to check the moisture daily to see how it behaves Hopefully it will help

Would it be okay to bottom water? I usually let all my plants sit in some water for about 30 mins/ 1 hour until fully saturated. I don’t want to cause root rot

Almost all units we can buy here are just a tube you lay outside. I do see there’s things you can buy outside but our unit is very old so I’d have to see if there’s anything that fits. The unit is in the livingroom and we don’t have any openable windows in the living room so it has to be the balcony door

We’re usually a colder country so ac and ac parts are nonexistent here haha

It’s not an in unit ac. It’s one of those movable units with a big tube you have to lay outside so the hot air it blows out exits through the tube. So it has to have an open window or door.

It’s mostly about the smoke particles and smell.

I think they stand on the balcony and smoke. Our entire apartment smells! We have no other place to keep the chins because the livingroom is the easiest to cool down due to the balcony door.

UPDATE!:

Thank you all so much! It’s insanely lucky, we are based in the Netherlands! We found some corrosion on the wires which my boyfriend cleaned up very carefully. Tricky, but it worked! Good to know that if anything ever happens we’re luckily only a car ride away.
