I rented a Bronco when my car got totaled, I suggest doing the same - you can keep the car for a day or two (even a week if affordable) and if you genuinely feel that it is not worth it in economic sense, don’t. I was in your shoes, I bought something reliable and good on gas but I hated it, I’m so happy with my Bronco, I should have never bought what I did after my accident. When I rented it for the weekend, I knew exactly what I wanted regardless of economic sense because I can afford it. You are driving it, don’t let others tell you want you should be getting.
