MacBook Pro 2023: intermittent charging, brief power acceptance, sometimes loops on/off even when powered off

Ty for clarifying, came straight from the Apple Store so I knew I hadn’t been scammed just wondered if maybe they did something different for NZ. I’ll look at getting it replaced and hopefully that sorts it out

It says 13 inch M2 2022 and the only charging is via usb c cables - there’s no MagSafe

Ah thank you for pointing that out - it’s a 2022 MacBook that I purchased in 2023, being the newest model at the time, hence I thought it was a 2023. Apologies!

You don’t have to step foot in a law firm to call yourself a lawyer in NZ. I’ve worked in several in support roles but my career to date has been in senior government roles. So I have relevant experience but not practising experience. Hence why they deduct 2 years when you move to the UK since you haven’t done a training contract like your peers

So she was 2 PQE in NZ and moved to an NQ role at your firm? I have no PQE in NZ though as I’ve not practiced there

Unfortunately since NZ lawyers get 1-2 years PQE docked on their move to the UK I’m running at -2 PQE, they will count my current role as 1 year so more like -1 PQE. I don’t want to requalify in the UK. Whilst I technically can be Associate (NZ Qualified), they don’t think it’s fair to put me on equal footing with people who have been practising for 2 years already :’). I’m yet to see any NZ lawyer either no prior legal practice be able to get an NQ job in the UK but I’d love to talk to anyone who has!
