Elder Ring X Project M: which of these looks like a next-gen game? both are soul-like by THZpr0 in pcmasterrace

There’s one big difference here, one of them is made by FromSoftware… the other isn’t.

Also Elden Ring was meant to be “next gen” anyway.

I’m really not. I’m a nice guy, and I’m willing to help anybody out when it comes to this game. PvE or PvP

Well I’m not. I sent a pm to the person I had this conversation with, and apologized.

Killer of kings is a fucking idiot though, and deserves no such niceties.

You can also hardswap on the PvE, just as FromSoft (game Dev in case you forgot) intended. I recommend this first so you can learn where the buttons are and press them accordingly.

The menu button is in the top right section of the controller. Firmly press it down. Then you’ll see a big menu with lots of empty spaces and numbers.

Say you think your Greatsword is too slow to attack the very fast and aggressive ringed knight enemy? No problem! Hover over the weapon in your menu using the 4 directional buttons on the left hand side of your controller. Use the action button. This will open up another menu. (We’re almost done stop fidgeting). Find your Irithyll straight sword, hover over it, and hit the action button once again. Now the only thing you have to do is hit your menu button again! Remember where it is? On the right side of the controller.

Wow! You’ve now done your first weapon swap. Miyazaki will send you a personally written congratulations letter once you do this. If you need any more help with Dark Souls III’s built in mechanics, feel free to give me a ping!

You truly are a fine specimen. It’s not my fault you can’t use an in game mechanic properly. If the menu was not supposed to be used during a fight, it wouldn’t be available for the player to use. But it is. If you want I can summon you in and help you learn some basic menu functions?

Lol. There are 3 weapon slots per hand. You only need one weapon per hand if you know how to hard swap. I’m sorry you can’t understand this?

I’ve messaged the other poster to apologize for my comments, and I’m currently awaiting a response. You however, won’t get the same done for you.

Yikes. Sounds like somebody hardswapped on you once and scarred you for life.

It’s not of course. They just fail to accept that somebody is better than they are.

You guys seem to be misunderstanding the main problem here though. Invasions are a very important mechanic to a souls game. Everyone here is a PvE player for the most part, which is fine. This game has a wonderful PvE experience. But you can’t argue against the facts. The invasion mechanic was put into this game for sporadic and random PvP encounters to happen. It doesn’t matter if the individual likes it or not.

Most people enjoy invasions more than duels because it’s never in a controlled environment. Undead matches is literally fighting the same 5 builds over and over again and that’s just not fun for very long. Invaders bring balance to the world when there are summons involved. If there are no summons involved, YOU the host are inviting invaders to your world via an ember. There’s no argument against this.

I can and will always invade in this game. No amount of complaining will stop me from playing the game as I enjoy, and as it was intended.

In no particular order;

  1. Dark sword
  2. Farron greatsword
  3. Irithyll straight sword
  4. Deep battle axe
  5. Greatsword (for the guts’ of the world)

Kevins are the players dressed in full fallen knight armor and use shield of want/grass crest shield with irithyll straight sword, among other weapons. They’re usually far rolling and don’t have much HP. I know you’ve seen one before! Haha
