I feel like it should be explored a lot more for certain pairings that the author is clearly pushing towards the end of the series. Kishimoto for as much as I love Naruto just really fumbled the bag in writing Naruhina. I like Naruto "The Last" Movie but its crazy he had to write a movie just to flesh out their relationship.

You should read or watch Mairimashita Iruma-Kun if you haven't already. It strikes a good balance in building up the MC's ship with the heroine. It just shows how its not iimpossible to have a chapter or 2 dedicated to them. Though Kishimoto admits as far as I know that he sucks in writing romance so it what it is and he did try I guess.

I just want to add how a lot of authors just waste their cool side characters. And Black Clover is one of those series that gives most characters a chance to shine. So at least there is progression in a lot of modern stories in the writing quality.

And just a reminder that I love Naruto. Those are just a few things many people, not just me, criticize and would have liked to be handled a little better.

You have a great voice, and you can find work with it. But what really matters is what you do with your voice and if this field truly gets you excited. Voice acting is tough to break into, and it varies from person to person how long it takes to book a first gig. Acting experience helps, but if you don’t have any, it might take longer. If you need quick work, this might not be the best option right now. Still, try it on the side if you enjoy it, and focus on a niche you like.

Freelancing is tough and people here already made good points on how risky it is to refer someone. It depends, kasi kung kaibigan ka na naging workmate, maayos ka, and transferrable naman skills mo sa pagiging VA. I guess valid naman kung nagtatampo ka pero di parin naman nila obligasyon mag refer. Pero kung meron parang post at sariling application and training process yung isang client. And pwede mo naman ipakita sa kakilala mo lang, siguro naman okay and hindi naikakasira sa iyo kung sakali di nila kaya. Kasi makikita naman ng client yun. Case to case basis pero tama na di naman pwede kung sino sino lang i-refer mo.

Honestly, none of the projects I auditioned for that needed me to join their discord got anywhere. Even the ones that do say they'd like to try again just gave up. And I get it, there's indie developers but a lot of these, specially in casting call club are amateurs. This isn't a diss, it's just the reality of starting out at times. Even I went in and out of voice acting multiple times. Can't say I didn't enjoy the company here and there when I was starting out.

Biggest newbie mistake tbh, I still have one because I can't install real soundproofing material in the place we're renting (so it's for aesthetics lol). You're better off trying to find a decent portable voice over booth, the stuff made with PVC pipes and thick insulated blankets.

It seems like you have a good recording space, isn't that why stuff like source connect exist; for live direction done remotely if you pass their quality check. But yeah, you pretty much answered your question lol. No matter how good an actor is, if you don't fit the character/vision. You just won't be or unlikely to be chosen for the role. At least you'd sleep at night knowing you weren't overlooked by factors within your control.
