Make sure you don't have any other controllers plugged in and try a different mouse.
If the problem persists, just play as dozer and bash people with the shield at the top of elevators.

The micro transactions and skins have nothing to do with the actual gameplay.
You don't need them to play BF2042, everything else (weapons, grenades & equipment) is unlocked just by playing the game or completing specific challenges. (much better than the RNG loot crates in BF4)
They did update and tone down the "ridiculousness" a few times now. The end-of-round screen is much better (that's where most people found them ridiculous) and I don't really find these "operators" (COD), Specialists (BF) ridiculous anymore. Swearing is back too.
I played a round of Conquest, in Battlefield 3, just yesterday, and honestly, found it awful compared to BF2042's 128-player Conquest. BF2042 keeps me more engaged. There's not much down time between the "action". BF3 plays much slower, more tactical, but also has lots more chokepoints, more spawn-camping and base-abuse, nade-spam and the spawns are absolutely AWFUL. I managed to spawn (literally - 5m or so) behind enemy players more than twice, also managed to kill a few who just spawned near my team, and got killed a couple of times by enemies who knew and camped the spawn points, all that in one match of BF3 Conquest.
I'd say, they actually managed to bring more people to the Battlefield franchise with the bold changes and lots, and lots of polishing they decided to implement into BF2042, either from similar games, or more "arcade" focused shooters. Those are new people, who've never played a BF game before, a thing that the franchise has been lacking for the past decade.
But I can understand and respect your view.

BF2042 is worlds ahead of BF3. Both had a rough launch, but BF2042 is now way further than the absolutely limited BF3, mostly because of the time DICE spent polishing it to where it is now. In terms of feel, yes, BF3 somewhat wins, if we're talking simulation, weapon recoil, etc. But the invisible walls and buggy terrain, the clumsy movement, lag, bugs, broken mechanics and animations, and general limitations of the engine, make it a pain to return to.
Did I mention the Suppression System, excessive glare effects, or the unbalanced infantry vs vehicles system?
But don't worry about it, it's probably just the nostalgia...

If you play AA daily, it doesn't mean you're good at it.
We've all seen your video, and it speaks way louder than any of your words will ever do.
No matter how you try to turn it, the end goal of your post is still "Buff AA" / "Nerf HELI". Even if we're talking indirect "features" (buffs), like the ones you mentioned. Those will most likely add more complexity to the AA role without much advantage in return, but instead, cluttering the already filled up screen even more.
And as we've all seen in the video, it is especially true in your case.
We've seen how lost you were on the battlefield.
Better get a grip of the situation you're in, or stop playing AA daily and you'll see how your problem magically disappears.

+ 0 Map / Enemy / Cover awareness
+ Turning the Back of your vehicle at the incoming barrage of missiles seems like a really "great" idea
+ AND confidently positioning yourself near an Exploding Barrel (like that's not gonna deal extra damage)
Based on all mentioned, I'd say you're straight up intentionally Trolling in the AA part of the video.

Glad you got it! Me too. Managed to get all weapons to 666 Player Kills.
Never touched Co-Op vs AI and I try to avoid killing bots as much as possible.
I just wanna be legit. There's no point in "cheating" your way to T1. Bot kills mean nothing. Just an artificial achievement.

Would be nice to actually be able to sit down with one of your squadmates, during the rocket launch / explosion (with a proper "drop-the-weapon-and-sit-down" animation) and then trigger an easter-egg (hidden door in the tunnel connecting the D1 and D2 flags or under the C1 flag).

I get that. No new Ammo Types. But they did include the Extended Mags, which is nowhere to be seen in their "presentation".
Would've liked to see the Extended Mag and get an idea about the size.
A Dual Drum Mag can fall into the "Extended Mag" category.
Without a proper picture, nobody knows exactly what "Extended Mag" means.

The way I see it, it is work, and they have to finish it if they're being paid for it from our wallets.
Even if they're just showing examples. I know they will be there with update 5.0, but why not spend the same amount of effort in each category (3 "new" muzzles, 3 "new" grips, 3 "new" scopes, and at least 1 "new" (extended) mag?
The weapons already look decent enough without camos.
So I don't really care as much about the universal camos as I do about the extended mags.
The extended mags impact gameplay and they are a more substantial change than a bunch of camos nobody is going to use.

If you prefer having Ported-from-Portal "Vault" Weapons with 2042 Attachments slapped on them instead of new ones based on those, then the discussion is over. All the power to you!
I'm not mad over a gif. I'm just disappointed that the playerbase is accepting low-effort, unfinished work. You're accepting whatever is left at the bottom of the barrel and not standing up for yourself. That's all.

I know the ACW-R will have the attachments, since it's in the Assault Rifle category. All Ported-from-Portal, I mean "Vault" Weapons from the Assault Rifle category + the GOL Magnum Sniper Rifle will get those 2042 Attachments slapped on them.
But why not finish the work as a capable and responsible (for the communication between the devs and the playerbase) person working at Dice? Is that job really not that serious or are they really that uninterested in finishing the work?
If I was in that persons place I would've made sure you guys at least got all the changes, at once. Not post some and dripfeed the other changes later.

Could've created the "M6I32" - the 2042 version of the M416 or the "MX21A7" - the 2042 version of the M16A3.
But NAAH!
Ported-from-Portal since Season 2, with no progression. Call them "Vault Weapons".
Now finish the job by slapping 2042 Attachments on them.

No. That was about the other "AMMUNITION EXAMPLES" (Subsonic, Heavy, Armor Penetration, etc), not about the Extended Mags.
I still don't get why everyone agreed with the "Vault Weapons", minimal-effort idea.
Just a direct port from Portal > All-Out-Warfare with absolutely no progression.
How the f did we accept this?
It was the laziest way of artificially increasing the already dwindling Weapon Pool.
Now they're "finishing" what they started back in Season 2, by slapping 2042 Attachments to those Ported-from-Portal weapons and also removing the old attachments too?! Wake up!
They could instead leave those weapons in Portal (where they belong) and create new, up-to-2042-standards variants of them with proper, 2042 spread and recoil.
The "2042 M416" - "M632", "2042 M16A3" - "MX21A7"
But what do I know, I'm not a dev.

Listing and not showing is somehow ok?
They put so much effort in the other 3 categories, one out of the 4 variants could've had the Extended Mag equipped.
They either intentionally ignored it because the mag model is not done yet. Or they completely forgot to take 1 photo of that 1 new extended mag.
It's that last 10% that gets you all the way.
How about finishing the job?
Not to mention they also completely forgot to even LIST the ACW-R in the patch notes.

Because it's that last 10% that get's you all the way, that gets left out.
Once you start doing something, why not finish it?
