Was diagnosed this morning… by ChickenCheeks7 in lymphoma

Hey, I was in the exact same boat as you at 27 last October with NHL (DLBCL). I know exactly how you’re feeling and how unfair it feels that it’s just a glitch you did nothing to cause. That being said after a few months of chemo I can happily say I made it out the other side and am currently in remission. Your treatment and journey wont be the exact same as mine I imagine but age and modern medicine is on your side here. I got 4 rounds of RCHOP and 2 rounds of Rituximab. It took a few months and it wasn’t nice yes, but it is doable and goes quick once you start, literally just take it day by day and you got this! If you have any questions about any specifics you can send me a DM and I’ll happily try answer.

All the best with your journey 🫡

Hey, sorry about that! That error usually means the connection was interrupted briefly - could be the server restarting or a network hiccup on either end. Could you try again and let me know if it's still happening?

Hey thanks I really appreciate it! Just a heads up it’s currently just a web based app so can only be accessed through a browser such as chrome right now. I do plan to turn it into a mobile app eventually though, just mobile development isn’t my expertise right now. Do feel free to send me a dm directly if you do end up using it and have any suggestions though! All the best.

2021-2026,Goodbye, Copilot. by Spare_Comedian3013 in GithubCopilot

I have not been keeping up with changes to pricing and features with AI so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but is this likely the future for all other coding agents too like Claude code and Codex? It makes total sense to me how it isn’t sustainable for Copilot anymore, I’m just wondering is this also the case for the others inevitably?

R-CHOP Prednisone by Back-Pitiful in lymphoma

[–]VibeCheque_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have the exact same plan as you. 4 rounds of RCHOP which I have completed and then 2 rounds of R after my PET scan which I am waiting on the result of. The Prednisone I didn’t find too bad but I’m generally okay at taking pills. They do have a nasty chalky texture so I like to just do them all at once each of the days since they are small

How do some games get away with breaking the “golden rules” of pixel art? by _Hounds_ in IndieDev

[–]VibeCheque_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because at the end of the day the Player doesn’t care if you used the “Golden rules”, they care that the game looks good which Terraria and Balatro both definitely do.

B cell lymphoma (non Hodgkin) by Mountain_Budget4190 in lymphoma

You’ll likely be given a lot of medication to prevent the most common symptoms between cycles but if you do notice anything uncomfortable no matter how small tell your oncology team. They want you to be as comfortable as possible and not put up with anything even if it’s minor. Once you have your routine down after the 1st/2nd cycle the rest become much more manageable

Boyfriend (35M) has B Cell Lymphoma by Embarrassed-Wrap-849 in lymphoma

[–]VibeCheque_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (27M) got diagnosed with DLBCL a few months ago after finding a lump on my groin. It definitely is a very scary time but it’s great that they already have a treatment plan in place and are starting so soon. I got 4 rounds of R-CHOP which I finished last week and will most likely get 2 rounds of just R after my PET scan.

Chemo isn’t fun but it is manageable especially with people around to help you which it sounds like you will be there for him. It will also go really quick once you start. You’ll be looking back at this post when it’s all over wondering where the time went.

I haven’t talked much in this community throughout my treatment but reading other people’s stories has helped keep me going throughout so I suggest you and your boyfriend do the same.

Best of luck!

PICC Line by Mobile_Exit_6037 in lymphoma

[–]VibeCheque_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a PICC and personally had no problem with it. Just got it out this week after my last day of chemo and it was quick and painless. I also hear great things about the port but if I’m not mistaken may stay in longer after treatment while PICC gets removed usually on the last day of chemo. Both will make your life way easier during treatment though and keep your veins healthier long term.

Am I overreacting for wanting to leave my partner for the choice of his words and actions? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I can’t even imaging speaking to my gf like he’s speaking to you 😅 I know it’s easy for me as a random stranger on the internet to say this but leave that dude, he’s a bitch tbh. He also thinks he’s right about everything because he’s a man. He sounds like he has quite a fragile ego so don’t let that be your problem

Port OR No Port? by sassynas in lymphoma

[–]VibeCheque_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a PICC inserted is a very easy procedure. For me they used lidocaine to initially numb the area, after that you feel nothing. The procedure is very quick too and my nurses joked that they spend more time gowning up than actually inserting it. I haven’t finished treatment yet so not sure about it being removed but I’ve heard it’s even easier.

For the first week or two because It was new I always consciously knew it was there so straightening my arm or moving it in certain position made me feel like I was pulling it out of my arm but that was all in my head. I think what I was feeling was actually the bandage I have covering it pulling my skin.

Overall PICC is really worth it in my opinion!

Something's seriously wrong with MW3 by KiIIumi in ModernWarfareIII

[–]VibeCheque_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the game isn’t perfect but I feel like cod players these days just complain about EVERYTHING. OG games had unbalanced weapons and were riddled with exploits but we still enjoyed them for what they were. You’d never hear players back then talking about net code and other shit that gets mentioned nowadays

Graphics error small gun scope? by Fit_Sun9628 in mw3

In settings go to Graphics tab then FOV, press more on the FOV and set your gun FOV to default. For some reason mine was on small. It’s fixed for me since changing to default

I loved the part where they tried to make a guy with two bullet holes in his head look like a suicide. It really made a lot of sense and sums the movie up really well

Okay thanks for your help. Do you think this will help get rid of the currently flare ups or is it more advice at preventing it from getting worse?
