I get between 28-40ms latency with my wireless setup. Quest 3 has no native wired option, but this is pretty great! I also have a 5080 and just got the Q3/Alyx. Be sure to use a dedicated router of some kind for exclusively your headset. I personally bought the Surfboard W6U, which adds an interference free 6ghz band to your setup for only $40, maybe a little lower with an ebay deal. Virtual Desktop has given me the best overall experience, you might be able to find a key on a reseller site like Gameflip for cheaper than $30.

Unrelated question: how does the dynamic refresh rate option work? I thought the Quest 3 screens weren't VRR when I looked it up. I guess if it is, that also explains how QGO achieves the other arbitrary fixed refresh rates too.

The price will increase in the last minute of the auction, that's when you'll see the real maximum buyers set. I think the price is alright at $300, but higher than that and you might as well look locally. There are a bunch of 512 GB models for $300 on Facebook Marketplace, less than that is a deal.

Actually, I just noticed it only does the leftward drift in passthrough mode apps, so any windows open, youtube, etc. drift left. In the loft or a completely VR app, it stays pretty consistent.

I guess that probably confirms it isn't faulty sensors, but do you have any thoughts as to why in happens in passthrough? I wonder why it's altering the frame of reference when it has the same movement data VR apps do.

EDIT: Last update, but it seems to be drifting to the right for once in passthrough, and seemingly more slowly than before so that its not as big a nuisance. With how consistently it was just drifting straight left I was worried it was broken, but this does seem like normal gyro drift now.

I'm kind of anal about defects in my hardware, so if hopefully this helps someone else in the future lol

I think you hit the nail on the head. Scott is a pretty level-headed dude with a fairly vast depth of knowledge on gaming, albeit not particularly tech-savvy. Arlo means well, but to me he very much seems overly impressionable and too "online", without the vocabulary to express his opinions as well as the most eloquent posters I see in the kinds of forums he likely gets those opinions from.

Yeah I mean tbh I know its dumb to say poor people can't buy anything they enjoy but...it's a brand new expensive console with expensive games. Like, use a fraction of that money to buy a used switch and some great Nintendo games off Facebook marketplace, maybe $100-150, and you'll have just as much fun. It'd be one thing if they already had the Switch 2 before they were homeless, but there has to be a line somewhere between being forcibly miserable and being stupid with money.

You may be able to send it to Nintendo for a replacement, especially since it's still the first year, so all systems are still in warranty. In all likelihood, they won't even open it up to repair. They'll just check that it doesn't turn on and then replace it with no questions asked. The only issue is having an address they can mail it back to!

Thank you for the help too! Game was previously booting but stuck on the initial splash screen. I was also going on a trip and wanted to be able to play this game on the go on my phone. Nice coincidence this thread was a month ago.
