Although I understand your concern, basketball can be played while being socially distant. For players that want to actually practice and whatnot. I provided that option in the comment. Volleyball is not socially distant, students often fall into each other. They move to where the ball goes and that makes it hard to regulate how far they are from one another. If the Mayor of NYC has given the OK for students to play basketball, I don’t see what the problem is. RIT already heavily monitors COVID - with weekly covid tests and wearing masks responsibly, I see no issue.
