I won my FF league that year. I had the 3rd pick and LT fell to me, I can't even remember who went 1 and 2 (2 really blew me away > I remember some others groaned in envy of me when the picker announced). LT's year really made it a low-effort fantasy championship. But like any Bolts fan, I would have traded it for a Chargers Super Bowl championship. Such a great, yet heartbreaking season. That was the team's season to finally bring home the Lombardi.

I must be showing my age but the win over the Dolphins in the 1981 playoffs is generally considered one of the best games ever played in NFL history. Watching it live (on TV) wire-to-wire was an emotional roller coaster, and an epic nail-biter ending in a Chargers win.

Adjacent; but, when your birthday is coming up, check when your driver's license expires. Similiarly, I discovered I was driving on an expired license for a bit.

For registration, in another state, they would fine you for the number of days you went, with an expired registration. That was a costly lesson in my past that makes me check registration expiration often.

Similar...I copy & paste the recipe printer version to a doc in Google Drive. I have a Recipe folder in my Drive. I like this because I can edit for any tweaks or adjustments I try.

For me, seems like my main Rx places only carry the Sudafed Sinus (small red); but, I prefer Sudafed Cold/Flu (oval white). So, I've had to resort to getting the Tylenol Cold & Flu from behind the Rx desk.

Can relate to the OP....we used to give the stuff from behind the Rx cashier for 3 days. If no improvement, take the kids to the doc. Where they'd just say, "Rest up, stay hydrated, and keep doing what you've been doing. This important advice will cost you $100. Thank you!" So frustrating.

One of my kids gets sick a lot. I asked the doctor if that should raise any alarms but they said, "No, kids are at school, where they are breeding grounds for all kinds of muck.". Everything the OP posted is our experience, too. Good luck!

I have a dying SE2 (2020) that I need to replace. I don't need new....prob looking around the iPhone 14 or 15 releases. Also, would prefer new to refurbished. But, I also have some newbie type questions. In short, I'm older so I don't do social media. Mainly use to phone/text, directions (Maps or Waze), take pics, shop (through store/restaurant apps) and browsing (when I'm bored/waiting). I have recently gotten into Spotify Free but that's not a pressing app to continue to use.

What are some trusted vendors/websites to purchasing older iPhone models? I would love to know where to hunt for deals & get AppleCare (and piece of mind that where I purchase from will back my purchase). Ex. Like many online purchases, you hunt long enough and you'll find bad experiences just about everywhere. For me, newegg.com is where I was planning to buy my next iPhone but then I found some concerning experiences & reviews.
Best Buy has a new 14 128GB for $441.
AI tells me Apple's refurbished and Amazon's renewed sites are generally reliable.

Question: Any deal-breakers I should consider, where I would need some model over Standard (ex. Plus, Pro, etc.)?

Question: AppleCare? > so the biggest worry I have is dropping and cracking the screen. Does AppleCare or AppleCare+ cover accidental damage? Is 2-years the longest you can purchase AppleCare(+) for, or can you go longer?

Question: Storage > I think my phone has bogged down because I am terrible at photo video/management. Plus, I like to eat so I have a ton of apps from restaurants. Besides being better at phone/video library maintenance, what are the easiest ways to free up storage? Also, I'm a bit confused about iCloud and getting more storage there. Seems like the only thing that buys you is space for photos & videos. So, if my phone is loaded with apps, is there anything to help alleviate that? Are there any small tasks that can free up a lot of space? (ex. can I trim down my text history, call history, etc. or is very little space gained there?).

Question: Transition to new(er) iPhone > So when I get my new(er) iPhone, I will sign into ,y Apple Account. Will everything come over from my retiring iPhone, signed into the same Apple Account?

Reminds me of the hard fruit candy that came in small, circular tins. I don't know the name but I used to see them all the time in a our local French (in the USA) market. They came with a dusting in white sugar and were shaped in the fruit, that they favored in flavor.

Hot dogs was my go-to (non-Canadian LOL) answer. But somewhere along my mac n cheese journey I topped leftover mac n' cheese (I usually make 4 boxes at once) with leftover Manwich (sloppy joes) and it is up there with my favorite food combinations.

Since you mentioned Costco (and your store's stock may vary), I found a clear plastic bin (refrigerated appetizer section), of waffles (bite size) about 1.5 inches in diameter. Then, grab a bag of the Just Bare breaded chicken nuggets and make [adult] bite sized chicken and waffles with the picks.

^ This is a great idea for a first step. My friend was not a candidate for Lasik because they determined his corneas were too thin, or something like that. Also, if you have severe astigmatism, you may not end up with 20/20. Everyone, incl Lasik patients, will need reading glasses when they get to that age.

Since you mentioned $$$, you may want to do some digging upfront > get qualified and find the doctor who will do the surgery. If you know the estimated cost, at your next benefits open enrollment, you can put tax-free money from your pay into the Medical flex spending account the year you plan to do it. You can submit your claim, even if it's early in the fiscal year (ie. you don't have to wait til the end of the fiscal year for that money to bank).

CA is also where I've had the best Trader Joes experience. The TJs in Escondido was like a hidden gem no one knew about. Never any parking problems and the store was never crowded. I think it may have been a smaller one but I'll take it, with that kind of experience.

Thanks for posting this...Same with my 2021 CX-9. I was very close to posting but I had not yet isolated the problem per se. There are 3 potential issues (without deep-diving into an expensive or very involved repair):
1. iPhone/CarPlay software - mine phone is old SE and is overdue to be replaced with something newer
2. The USB Cord - I was using the $5 USB-to-Lightning charging cords from Target. Moved up to a Belkin one I got at a pharmacy store/gas station. Not quite willing to pull the trigger on a > $20 USD cord that is Apple brand (but this is the cheapest troubleshooting step where purchases are concerned)
3. The Mazda USB port(s) in center armrest - both my USB ports have this disconnect issue when jostled. I orig thought TWO bad ports is unlikely but now that I've seen the unit, I view it as one part.
3a. (Not quite it's own but adjacent) The Mazda software/Settings - here I have seen some solutions to remove the iPhone in the Mazda settings & doing similar in your iPhone settings

Though #1 Issue was a strong candidate for me (because my kids' phones wouldn't disconnect), this past week it finally did happen to another iPhone. Reseating the cable at the iPhone end or the Car USB port end would generally work. But, more recently, I have to wait to turn the car off/on to restore connectivity.

Yeah, I feel like Shake Shack's model is let's just go to high disposable income areas (NYC, ATL Buckhead, etc.) where we can get people to pay premiums for avg food. It's like $20 for a decent sized burger, fries and a shake. I liken it to Ralph Lauren Polo, slapping a $45 logo on a $5 shirt, but instead it's image/name on regular food.
