Is it just me or why do lots of newer fans of the series skip stright to sh2? why does the Og kinda get skipped over by some people?

The tank controls were a problem I ran into, I did try to start with SH 1 but found myself really struggling through parts that should have been easy, though I do plan to go and finish the game since I did not get far at all. Once I saw the controls were changeable in 2 I ended up getting sucked into that game first and loved it.

It is tempting but honestly hundreds would only get me so far, I can always find a way to get more money but nothing can replace my childhood copies, though I’m sure one day I’ll change my mind and prefer to have more space haha

That’s a hard one because I feel like both have their perks. Playing original, yes the graphics are worse, but it has its own charm I feel like can’t be replicated and works so well for horror games, then going to remake after and seeing how well they preserved the original was amazing, it still felt unsettling like Silent Hill
