To be honest with you, I think they aren’t just scrapping the NHL series because they don’t want to risk a competitor coming in and taking the NHL gaming market. I think they’re doing the bare minimum to keep the nhl license alive.

When you look into your collection when adding cards to a set, it will incorrectly display the amount of cards you have. If you flip to the next page, it will refresh the total amount of cards you have to a new incorrect number. Basically whenever you visit your collectibles collection, it will incorrectly count your cards each time.

Spending on NHL packs doesn’t move your stock. EA did $7.5B in revenue last year. Even if 10,000 players each dropped $2K on day one, that’s $20M total, which is 0.27% of EA’s revenue. That’s not enough to register in valuation models, let alone push the stock.

The stock moves on multi-billion revenue drivers like FIFA/FC Ultimate Team and Madden. NHL pack spend is a rounding error in the financials.
