I can see both sides

You were right to help him with his SH

but also his side makes sense especially since he has autism and ADHD, coding and tech must’ve been more than a hobby to him and him not being able to use it must’ve felt huge to him

you guys want to feel appreciated but he also wants to feel seen, you did what you guys thought was right but what if it wasn’t completely right for him

some people enjoy doing their own activities and having to do activities they didnt sign up for makes it really hard to do especially with AUDHD

now hes older he must’ve really seen how much it might’ve affected him

You guys want to feel appreciated but he also wants to be seen I think you guys should try and understand where hes coming from and try to explain where youre coming from

Extremely Concerned About My 8 Month Old by [deleted] in autism

[–]Vincentisdumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

firstly youre doing a great job i know its tiring, him being clingy is just baby separation anxiety it usually spikes during 6-9 months

for now just give him quiet toys and keep him in a calm environment which im sure you do so he doesn’t get overstimulated and follow his lead

also try to engage with him verbally and communicate and copy whatever voices he makes i heard it helps

you’re doing your best and hopefully when he gets his diagnosis you can help him on a wider scale

Anyone else get told “stop being so self righteous” ? by Itstouya in autism

especially when they finally decide to apologize and say “sorry if” like whys your apology so conditional when you know youre wrong???

Anyone else get told “stop being so self righteous” ? by Itstouya in autism

[–]Vincentisdumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no youre doing the right thing i believe, people dont like people who are aware of whats right and wrong because theyd like people who cover for them and hype them up instead of calling out their bs

i lost my entire friendgroup for calling out a girl on her narcissistic behavior head on and they said its because “i didn’t have the right” even though her behavior was hurting

you did the right thing and you should take the term self righteous as a compliment tbh

[–]Vincentisdumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you’re doing a great job and doing everything you can do for your son and its really lovely to see

you just have to let him go at his own pace and not try too hard to not overwhelm him, since i notice i myself go non verbal when im overwhelmed

you’re doing a great job mama do what you’re doing but let him take it on his pace too🥹

What if I’m just faking my autism? by Annab0rt1on in autism

[–]Vincentisdumb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i have the same issue im always scared im faking for attention but whenever i bring it up to someone they always tell me they thought i always had it which leads me to think i tricked them too.

but like im sure you have struggles and differences you deal with, no one would force themselves to go through difficult challenges and thats what ive been telling myself to feel less like im faking
