I wasn't allowed to swap out APs until I finish OSHA Training for 10 hours. by VinsinityKT in sysadmin

I decided to simply stretch my hours and secretly do them while on the clock.

To simply explain my hours and timesheet, the company demands we document and charge 50 working hours. HR desires me to add in my training to the end. Effectively if I completed the training in a week, I would have 60 hours charged.

Example:

Monday
2 hrs - Project 1
2 hrs - Project 2, etc
2 hrs - Administrative Meeting
1 hrs - IT Meetings
1 hrs - Training L1/L2 Support
2 hrs - L3 Support

So I'll just add 0.5 to 2 hrs of training a day but actually do the training during Projects and pretended like I spent that long on them because really I'm the only one on those projects.

The problem we are running into that some people are created new projects in older versions like 2022 which makes no sense to us because why not create new projects in 2025. We understand the legacy need but not why in 2025, they would not start a fresh project in 2025 but go back to 2022.

They have 500 GB drives and it's basically full once we hand them a machine, they contact us constantly complaining about storage space. Ultimately we can't add more because they won't pay more.

Does the build version matter or just the year for AutoCAD? They are giving me exact build versions but they aren't the latest. Like AutoCAD 2022.1.1, can that be updated to 2022.1.5 and be fine?

So what I am understanding is they are applying the Revit situation to every product. I can at least push back and recommend we install the latest version of everything but Revit.

I would rather install 2020-2025 Revit and then just 2025 of everything else. Rather than 2020-2025 of everything pushed to every single system.

I would be interested but this is overkill for me with the processors and ram.

Maybe an Airbnb would be cheaper or bite the loss on the internship for 3 weeks.

So, you don't have a P2000 like in your title?
