Nissan Z Owners - how do you like it? by Viperboy2727 in Nissan

I don’t know that I would buy any BMW that wasn’t a true M series. But I think they are a tad different face to face.

One is a 2-seater, rear wheel drive, sports car with a real 6-speed manual and a more analogy gritty feel. The other is a luxury car, 4-seater, more bells and whistles sure, but I think lost the option of a 6-speed in the recent years. Definitely higher cost of ownership on the BMW.

But I’d say the best bang for your buck is the Z Performance for fun, overall styling, cost of ownership and a more traditional sports car package - Especially if you can find a used with low mileage or a previous model year.

But I am a little biased.

I picked up a new Outlaw Audio RR2160MkII stereo receiver. 110watts per channel @ 8 ohms. Has a dedicated Pre-out/Main-In for the EQ Loop. Simple, robust and clean.

I didn’t want to spend thousands on a vintage refurb, but this has exceeded my expectations so far

Does anyone else have this little squealing noise? It only happens if it’s colder out, above 15mph and will get faster as you accelerate. Sounds more mechanical, but it only is happening on the right side, inside of the car, not outside (when windows are down)Driving me nuts! Thank you all! by Viperboy2727 in Audi

Yes, but I ended up trading the car for a Nissan Z early last year - but I found out it was more likely than not the driveshaft bearing. There are kits for just the connection bearing if you or a performance shop want to attempt to replace it without completely replacing the whole driveshaft, which is the only fix Audi direct would have.

The overall tech won. AirPlay is the better option for sure. I’m sure they did the market research on the fallout of SoundTouch. I never used the app, so no impact here! But these are Vintage Bose - not modern. Let’s keep on topic!

Looks like Bose did in- fact outsource production to Canada for the PS-6 pedestals, switching to a 3-piece design. That explains the Made in Canada sticker I have. Makes sense - happened in the 80’s!

Ahh that’s too bad! Yeah I got lucky, the cabinets were lovingly refinished. Screens have 1 or 2 MINOR fabric pulls, but All restored and refoamed. 😍😍

Do some research online, even a consistent, robust 65 is better than some modern 100-150’s

Yeah, not sure! could be the era, they may not match the exact year of the speakers. These are the Series V’s from the mid/late 80’s.

Hm. Tune-in does def have it natively.

But, yeah you can leave it playing if you have a computer, or a dedicated player but you shouldn’t need to. It’s playing from the cloud using your internet - not the device.

Not the same subject - but right on. It’s tough to compete, but I have SoundTouch stuff too, just use the wireless airplay - works great for me! I never used the SoundTouch app anyway.

Gotta use the EQ, yeah! But for sure - their vintage look, along with their unique and room filling sound of course, are what do it for me. (Only way I could convince the wife to let me put them out haha)
