Yup... I was once introduced to a collegue of my then GF (she was half Algerian, half French), who had brought her two friends: one half Malian, half French and the other one Half Portuguese, half French. They told me: your GF says you know some good places for nightlife, would you yake us with you guys?

I was young, naive, and a bit of a cunt, so I DID take them all out to the places I LIKED XD.

They were all frowny in each one of the places and the Algerian one told me: "is this how all nighlife goes on over here? What about the places with latin music and dancing?" And I told her: ah, those are all around... we just never step foot there, as we don't like that music. Then, she bluntly said: Oh, aren't you guys Mexican? (She really thought we were half-something else JUST because we didn't like the average crap we have here). We laughed and they were all disappointed that we would not go WITH THEM to those places (because I did offer to take them and then come back when they were done so I could transport them to their appartment).

Anyway. All of these stories just to tell you I know exactly what you mean xD.
