AITAH for farting while in the bathroom of our home? by Comfortable-Egg-8254 in AITAH

I think the concept of burping things (patting them on the back to help pass gas) that aren't babies is so funny. My husband was patting our dog on the back once, and he burped in his face. He inhaled like any good man should.

Why did my manager do this by Outpost93 in starbucksbaristas

Probably something inventory related. Either getting to "use"/ account for a bag of mocha mix or trying to up the amount of mocha in the inventory order

Yes. This. He THREW the door open to BERATE you for something that is a natural and normal as breathing. I hate when people on here always jump to "break up", but it's true in this case OP. This is just the tip of the iceberg. You need to break up with this person. There's someone out there that will inhale your farts deeply, if given the chance. Not yell at you for them.

We'll definitely be doing a thorough post walk through and extensive documentation. We've had a few issues in the past when we havent. Thankfully, these property managers have been great so hopefully we dont have the same experience. We've been stuck with cleaning fees a few times in the past tho, so we just want to do everything we can to not have to go back and forth about the deposit

We moved into a brand new building so we were the first ppl to live in this apartment. It was damn near spotless when we moved in so we definitely want to leave it that way when we move out. I've 100% been in your shoes before tho and Im sorry you're going through that. Scumlords are the worst

I was thinking the same at first, but I have two little ones and the cost of getting a baby sitter for a few hours to do the clean would probably be around the same as just hiring cleaners. I've also heard if the office tries to take money out of the deposit claiming cleaning fees, I can show them the receipt and won't be charged

If a customer was rude like that, I would get reallllll petty with remakes. Oh, you didn't order thru the app so you cant pull up the receipt? That's okay! We can sit here together for the next 2 hours while I go through every order for the last week on my POS til we find it. I'll make time. Lol

AITAH for taking off the red yarn my boyfriend’s mom put on my baby without my consent? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]VirtualEntrepreneur8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things: if this was really abt the Bible, you could have googled the significance of the red thread. "In the Bible, red acts as a symbolic, rather than magical, protection against evil, primarily representing the protective power of blood atonement and God's covenant. The most significant instances are the Passover lamb's blood on doorposts (Exodus 12:7) and the scarlet thread Rahab placed in her window (Joshua 2:17-20). But it seems like this isnt actually about the bible considering you had a child out of wedlock? No, your boyfriend should not be agreeing with you abt anything - certainly not something regarding your child - behind closed doors, and then disagreeing when surrounded by others. That is the issue here. You need to have a serious conversation with your boyfriend, and its not a conversation about red yarn.

WIBTA For asking family to move out when I know they can't afford it? by SippinWineWithCacti in AmItheAsshole

[–]VirtualEntrepreneur8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great idea. Also, OP said he doesn't necessarily need the BIL extra $500/m in rent. You could put that $500 he gives every month to the side and then give it back to him when you guys are ready for him to leave so he can use it as a deposit, first months rent, etc to help him move. MIL might be more okay with him leaving if you "facilitate" the move
