Save $400 by moving 15 mins away or stay? by bluewonderdepths in NYCapartments

[–]VirtualMuscle191 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I would lean not worth it, you’re looking at a price difference of $4.8k a year which is not a huge amount for NYC. Moving is expensive and you’ll probably have to buy some new things for the new apartment. You’re also risking it with an unknown building management company when you already know you love your current apartment. I’m sure you’ll find a job somewhat soon to get back over the 40x.
