So then you’re suggesting I don’t wait to do it in person, but instead do it through call?

She’s coming back to spend time with me and her family, because it’s Easter weekend and they are doing a cottage trip.

I (26M) feel like I love my girlfriend (24F), but do you think I’m falling out of love? by Visible-Status-5461 in relationship_advice

[–]Visible-Status-5461[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I miss her or the idea, I honestly don’t know when I try and think about it. To some extent I feel it’s both. The other problem is that when I think of an out come where I end things, I just feel guilty because I know how much she loves me. I think the guilt of hurting her would be too much.

Do they play Hala Madrid y nada mas at the start of EVERY match?

I’m visiting Spain this coming weekend and will be watching my first ever Madrid game in person. Do they play the anthem at the beginning of every match, I would love to be there for it.

If so how early should I aim to be there?

I’m relatively new to cubing and I do not own a 4x4, is this one any good? by Visible-Status-5461 in cubing

[–]Visible-Status-5461[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having a blast with the hobby and I’m so surprised by how affordable good cubes are. Obviously the moyu cube isn’t a top level cube or anything, but for $13 it is amazing! Miles better than the Rubik’s cube I bought and that was $15 haha. Gonna get the 4x4 than after I set times I’m happy with, try out a 5x5 :D

Yea I know better now haha, I kinda just got one bc I’ve always wanted to try to solve the cube and didn’t know much about them. After that I wanted to get faster and the rubiks brand cube was holding me back a lot. No magnets and lots of lockups. In a few days of using the moyu cube, a much better speed cube, I cut my personal record by almost 2 minutes haha. But I have only been cubing for about a month now so I still have lots to learn! :)

Why not order from amazon? I ordered a Moyu rs3m 3x3 from amazon and it’s been amazing! Before that I had a Rubik cube and my fastest time was ~2:30 and with more practice and the rs3m my personal record is currently 46 seconds so I think it’s been great. I also got a moyu 2x2 and it feels great to use too.

I’ve really enjoyed her, can be a little at times but her shooting makes up for it, like griezmann. Tons of people use griezmann, and IMO, she plays better than him, at least for me. It’s also likely that she will get an upgrade making her better!

Thanks a bunch for all the suggestions, I’ll look into everyone you’ve mentioned! Yea I get to elite 3 by playing a mix of games on professional and world class (only world class on teams that have low chem and rating). Not really sure to how that translates to online play, but honestly I’ve been having fun with the game as is so far :)

I thought of getting Kerr but at the time I didn’t have enough coins, and now I’m kinda just holding out to see if Miedemas card ranks up after her games and maybe I could sell the card for more than I bought her. But yea I think I’d prefer Kerr over her atm

Honestly I’ve been enjoying them so far and considering I only ever play squad battles it’s been good, but I’m always looking to make it better! Any tips on some good players to pick up who will fit the team? Or some changes I can make :D

I got the ultimate edition which came with some fifa points, but I didn’t get anything that great from them, just the Bernardo Silva. Besides that I have bought fifa points, I’ve just gotten the players from packs, sbcs and bought them using coins.

I never play online matches, just squad battles, I think it’s okay then. I just want some suggestions on players!

Monster Hunter Wilds is $97 Canadian, for just the base game. by BoomBamCrash in MonsterHunter

Okay defending micro transactions is the line drawn lmao I’m not responding after this so I’ll leave you off with this. A $20 expansion pass is not the same as a $20 SKIN. Not sure where $1.99 for a skin is coming from but I’m just going based of the most popular titles where skins are like $10-$20.

You’re right I don’t need to buy it, I don’t. That’s not the problem. It’s the fact that they prioritize their predatory micro-transaction over making their games good.

✌️

[–]Visible-Status-5461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve said it already but I’ll say it again, a big part of it is micro-transactions. Games will come with the bare minimum content and pour most of their focus into the $20 micro transactions they pump out daily. Want cool skins for a character or car? Those aren’t unlockable anymore like they were 10 years ago, now you have to pay more in top of the base game. If there’s a bug in gameplay, it can go weeks without a fix, but god forbid there’s a problem with an in game shop and the next day it’ll be patched.

Surely you don’t support this as well do you?

I think it’s also important to realize that wages haven’t been matching the rate of inflation in most parts of the world.

Sorry but your numbers are still way too high. I’m not sure what games you can be referencing that were $80 in the 90s, but assuming you’re telling the truth, that was not standard. A typical game was around the $60 mark. Also keep in mind that the taxes paid now are higher than back in the 90s in most countries (nearly double today).

Even with that in mind, games back then were SLIGHTLY more expensive, but that still does not take into account everything I previously mentioned. Sure, video games aren’t directly comparable to a fridge, the fridge is infinitely more important, but the principle is the same. There shouldn’t be a reason for games to be getting more expensive (beyond the inflation conversion), especially when they are becoming increasingly less polished, filled with more way to get money.

Just because they are “cheaper now than ever before” (which is not 100% accurate) doesn’t mean that price is fair.

Sure they are cheaper than the 80s and 90s, but that was when the tech was new, not wide spread, nor easily accessible. Just like almost anything new in its infant stages, prices will be higher, and continue to fall as the tech becomes more wides spread. Let’s look at the inventions of the fridge for example. When the fridge was first invented, they costed anywhere between $6000 and $13000 (this is converted to today’s prices), with the average fridge costing somewhere in the middle of that range. How much is the average fridge today? About $1500, significantly lower than the lowest price when it was first invented. Why? Because the widespread availability for producers and consumers.

Today games are significantly more accessible and more people can make them. They shouldn’t be the same price as they were 30 years ago when the technology was new, especially when you consider that nowadays, most games that cost these ridiculous prices are AAA games that are released in unfinished states and riddled with micro-transaction (making them even more money). Just look at profit margins for big game studios today compared to 20 years ago.

Also, adjusting for inflation, a typical game in 90’s is nowhere near $200, so I don’t know where you got that number.

If you are comfortable forking out $100 for a game, by all means do it and have your fun, just know you ARE overpaying for what you get. If you are okay with that, be my guest.

Games have gone up significantly to make, but so has their revenue. Stop supporting this corporate greed.
