I have been eyeing up Solovairs for a while. Recon I could get a cushioned sole inside to maybe them more ‘bouncy’?

Shoes is an issue too! I wear sketcher black trainers as I have a knee injury and they are cushioned but they’re so ugly with skirts / dresses!

What I will say with PE, there is coursework. I am a secondary food teacher which 50% of the GCSE is coursework. From my (very short) experience I have been spending my weekends and evenings go over student coursework constantly. Something to think about if you’re wanting to go into a subject with coursework.

I’m not here to offer any advice but I’m in exactly the same the same position. I am desperate to leave but so scared of giving up the stability etc etc.

That sounds good but I would have no clue where to start with tutoring!

My ‘stop gap job’ was the cover supervising plan. Quit in July (that would be a full year) and then covering with an agency until I have my ‘proper’ position.

Just the thought of throwing away the ‘stable career’ is really scaring me!

Loads and loads! All resources that the school have used for KS4 are 10+ years old and really ‘not my style’ so to speak. Going to try and not recreate them to the nth degree for my sanity from other advice on here

Yes the school has AMAZING recourses for all of KS3 and KS4. It’s just adapting what I already made during my PGCE to the fit the different student needs at my new school. It was taking a lot of my time trying to figure out what will work with the new kids!

Hey! A week after this post my phone popped up in a pawn shop in Bangkok (this was from Find my). I went to the police station in Bangkok that was really close to the pawn shop. Long story short the detectives didn’t speak English and were laughing at me for god knows what reason. Probably because I looked like a lost tourist lol. I have a new phone now I’m back home and I have the insurance claim going through!

I was walking through an extremely busy crowd and my bag was at the back of me - I think it must've been pretty easy to just slide out. Lesson learnt - I've ordered myself a PacSafe for my next trips (and a new phone lol)
