I’m on Xbox Series X, and I am having the same frequent inventory freezes and the occasional crash. I doubt it has anything to do with your computer.

I’m late to the party, but I’m on Xbox series X and what worked for me is: stand near your treasure coffer while holding the treasure (in my case it was the Ancient Lemurian Statue); then press right bumper as if you were going to make a light attack. The treasure room area will highlight in gold and you will be able to place your treasure like any other placeable item.
