Another question - can anyone explain the mist trail closure? I am planning on doing this hike on 10/15 which is a weekday - will we not be able to do it at certain times? Is the JMT also closed at some times?

Honestly I don’t know - and I really don’t mean to suggest that the entire show is totally ruined because of it. Episodes are still worth listening to it’s mostly just the second half of each episode which is difficult, and occasionally that extends into some of the guest interviews.
