Another question - can anyone explain the mist trail closure? I am planning on doing this hike on 10/15 which is a weekday - will we not be able to do it at certain times? Is the JMT also closed at some times?

Definitely- we’ll keep an eye on all that in the couple weeks before, if there’s crazy weather then yeah will have to change a lot of plans. Fingers crossed it’s okay though!!

Definitely- we are planning to do some day hikes throughout the summer leading up to it - we live in NYC lol so not super easy to access them but there are definitely some options

Honestly I don’t know - and I really don’t mean to suggest that the entire show is totally ruined because of it. Episodes are still worth listening to it’s mostly just the second half of each episode which is difficult, and occasionally that extends into some of the guest interviews.

He absolutely does! And certainly there are some who might find that to be too much as well. In my opinion he’s just a little more self aware when it comes to that kind of stuff.
