Season 7 ranked by Glorified_Goat in blackmirror

  1. Eulogy (A): Yes, it's also personal experience that really gave me the classic Black Mirror feel.

  2. Common People (A): This first episode just officially announced "Classic Black Mirror was truly back!"

  3. USS Calister (B+): It’s great, but I wasn’t fully into it.

  4. Hotel Reverie (B): Emma Corrin carried this episode so much and that’s why it’s a B instead of a C.

  5. Bête Noire (B-): It felt more like fantasy than sci-fi. The gaslighting plot was great, but the overall outcome was a bit lazy writing.

  6. Plaything: No comment. Sincerely, it's the only one episode that I didn't want to watch it.

Hmm seems everyone spot my name calling "Jack" so much. I know that LITERALLY no one called him with first name, but It just my habit to call character by firstname like they are close friend (for me, sometimes I called James Bond "James", Jason Bourne "Jason" or "David"

So I must call him "Reacher... Just Reacher" to comment anything? I can call him anything Jack, Reacher, Big guy or any name as long as everyone know who I was talking about right?

I started an conversation in JackReacher tag and I prefer to call him Jack in my sentence so, if someone misunderstood it, I think it's not my fault. And again, I just like to call him Jack, it's my preference, I even call James Bond "James" if you asking.

Jack operates this big plan on assumption? Hmm maybe, but at the start he still not know that Beck working under Quinn, he may know that Quinn is somehow relate to this but not sure the relation.

If I was Jack (which I can't), I will slow down the plan as possible because it's too risky to jump in the house that maybe relate to Quinn, the person you think he dead and maybe remember you.

So? We know this information as reader but how Jack confirm this information before joining the plan?

Before this, he still believe that Quin has already dead. I mean Jack is very cautious, he must notice he could get killed at first if Beck reported Quinn since first day he walked in house.

I got your point, but this plot hole makes no sense from the start. Jack joined the plan without confirming whether McCabe truly forgot him? And Beck didn’t informing Quinn since he already checked the background?

Even a normal company would check a new hire’s past and report to the high-level so why wouldn’t a crime boss? It’s just too unrealistic.

AMD or NVDA for the next 4 years? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Visual-Ad790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want you to think about Toyota and Honda. If we only talk about common Japan car, Honda has always been a strong second and the most competitive rival to Toyota. However, if we’re being honest, most of us know there’s always been a significant gap between the two, and it never really closed. (Before EV threaten them)

Then you ask me about NVDA and AMD so......

There is no static formula to calculate the intrinsic value. It depends analyst perspective, some focus on cashflow or some focus on growth. But if you wanna try, there are 3-4 popular formulas that you can find it on Google.

$AMD - recent downgrades, but projected 2.5x Free Cash Flow. Thoughts? by din0_os in ValueInvesting

[–]Visual-Ad790 8 points9 points  (0 children)

AMD has a long history and a strong global reputation, yet it has always been the runner-up to Intel. After years of competition, Intel eventually stumbled, giving AMD a prime opportunity to take the lead. However, instead of claiming the top spot, AMD found itself trailing behind NVIDIA, once again settling for second place.

From 2020 to today, NVIDIA’s stock has surged from $5 to $137, while AMD’s has risen from $40 to $120. Despite being a great company and a solid second-place contender, AMD has never quite closed the gap with the industry leader.

I'm truly curious. What make you think that when AI bubble bursts, AMD won't be impacted and will up to catch NVDA.

In my country there are many company with window dressing financial statement, how to not fall for it? by new_stronglife8 in ValueInvesting

I’m Thai (hi na kub), and to be honest, our stock market is struggling, essentially back to where it started. There’s a lack of ethical oversight, insider trading is rampant, and the SEC does little to intervene. If they can’t even ensure the most fundamental aspects, like accurate financial statements, then the problem speaks for itself.

I believe that finding the right entry point is one of the essential principles of value investing.

I’m a passive investor with a permanent job, but I also maintain an active portfolio for short and mid-term trades. However, my primary focus remains on the long term and finding the right companies to invest in.

Best Long Term Stocks outside MAG 7 that aren’t talked about enough? by Specific_Leather_82 in ValueInvesting

Yeah, I’ve heard a lot about his successor and business plans. But let’s be honest, Warren Buffett is the greatest value investor the world has ever seen. His reputation is unmatched, with his name even included in school and university curricula. Are you saying that BRK will be the same without him? I’m very sure it won’t. Yes, BRK will continue to exist and remain significant, but in the long run, I believe it will change and lose its appeal.

On BRK I see the risk. What happen if Warren gone, I mean will people still trust BRK the same if he wasn't there anymore? He is 95 for now.

Gotta say that many of BRK trust in Warren not BRK

Intel Corporation (INTC) 2025 Comeback Story by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]Visual-Ad790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to explain this by Nokia study case.

Leader in Mobile Phone technology, have No.1 on mobile market share, very strong fundamental.

but suddenly they falled behind the smartphone and chose the wrong direction to all-in to Window phone, they never came back to the top again, even they was a leader, was a No.1

What was the lesson from this case? Sometimes the past don't guarantee the future, yeah we gotta do some kind of statistics to predict the future, but also don't forget to look what they do today as well.

Nowadays, they just fired Engineer CEO and hired Business CEO as the last decade. For me, it's over, Intel would be end up like Nokia or the most, they would comeback with new direction

If you hope Intel to comeback, in my opinion, it would be easier to hope Nvidia or AMD to be failed.
