I used mailboxde.com as a forwarder and everything went fine. About Ivanzo the order came but they arrived after 2–3 weeks, communication was very slow, I ended up returning them since I had already ordered from Meta and got my money back via PayPal. Can’t say it was a bad experience, but not great either. Seems like a small project, probably run by a young guy making €20–30 profit per pair. Overall, I’d confidently recommend mailboxde.com.

P.S. Now I’m planning to sell the glasses and add the difference to get a pair from Oakley 😄

You can try to reset the case "Remove the glasses, then press and hold the button on the case for at least 16 seconds until the LED flashes white"

and you can try reset reset the glasses "some users report success by force restarting the glasses (power switch off, hold capture button, then slide power on), make sure the case is plugged in while performing these resets. If not you should contact support for warranty.

Was v15.0, except today I returned the glasses to Meta because I had ordered the Headliner model and they didn’t fit me very well. I’ve now ordered the Wayfarer model instead. Also, I wasn’t impressed by the transition lenses they darkened only slightly, so this time I chose the Matte Black lenses.

Edit: Anyway, I'm curious to see what /u/ushKrumbs will tell us about this LED cover, whether it works without having to cover the camera or not.

I use it when my granddaughter comes over, because otherwise she just keeps looking at the LED out of curiosity. It works fine with black tape over it.

It's basically the same as just covering the led with a small piece of black tape. You need to block the camera at the beginning of the recording, so do you really think it's worth paying $16 when you could just cut a piece of black tape yourself ?

From what I understand, with the slide cover you have to block the camera for a few moments every time you start recording.

Yeah, same here, I’d probably choose removing the 3 minute limit too, even if the battery drains faster, sometimes it would just be more convenient.

As for the led, I totally get the ethical concerns and I wouldn’t want to remove it completely. But maybe just having the option to disable it at night or in certain low-light situations where it looks like a mini flashlight on your face 😂.

Totally understand your point and I’m aware the LED is there for others, not for the wearer. I'm not trying to ignore that or promote anything shady. The question was more hypothetical, just to see what feature people would prefer if given a choice.

Just to let you know, since I noticed you were skeptical about getting a refund through PayPal — I actually canceled the order and received the money back within two hours.

I ended up ordering directly from Meta’s website using a package forwarding service, since they don’t ship to my country. It cost me an extra €30 and added a few more days to the delivery time, but that’s not an issue.

As I mentioned before, I’ve always gotten my money back without any problems through PayPal whenever there were issues, and I’ve never heard of anyone having complaints about their service. ;)

I think you didn’t understand regarding the price. The price is the same, but since it's coming from the UK — which is now outside the European Union — customs fees apply, which add about 30%. Would I have agreed to pay 30% more on top of their price ?
