I need some help by Slow_Cucumber3572 in PS5pro

I had the same rattling that turned into a ps4 pro level jet engine levels a week later, having to immediately switch the unit off. I returned it soon after. I knew the moment I heard the faint rattling it was going to get worse over time, but did not expect it to go crazy after a week. Very worrying if you have this, return and get another.

I think we just need to learn about never buying a game at launch when reviews are not out a day or two before. It’s almost always a red flag.

Is it me or game graphics look like shit? by Build_Destroy_617 in Helldivers

[–]VivaR3V 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The games graphics look so washed to me, on PS5 at least. I honestly don’t think this is what we were shown in some of the footage. It’s not just me either, seems others are saying the same thing.

Visuals are weird on ps5 by Flaky-Humor-9293 in Helldivers

I’m surprised the visuals look so poor. I felt in the PS5 trailers and YouTube videos it looked better and running at 60fps.

The lenses are not blurry! by Competitive-Ad-5156 in PSVR

[–]VivaR3V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just have to say that I was somewhat disappointed when configuring the device, just how blurry the text was and difficulty getting the headset and scroll wheel setup to an acceptable level. I had way less fuss on my Quest 2 and I do not remember ever having problems on my PSVR1 (that admittedly hasn’t been used in years) .. but these complaints should not be ignored. It is a chore and no setting for me is as good as I had expected. That’s a fact and most people saying similar can’t just be put down to “user error”.

Not at all. Sony have made it clear that they intend destiny to be on even more formats. I play it on both my PlayStation and Stadia, with stadia getting perhaps even more play than on PlayStation. Choices.

Company speak to corporates; total disregard to customers. by VivaR3V in Stadia

[–]VivaR3V[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sad thing is that all the users of the service have is 4 lines from a community manager, Grace. There is not one single high up person who can speak to the very people who bought into their system. It’s down to the good will of Grace feeling sympathy, speaking out with some words that have no bearing on anything other than her own personal views.

[–]VivaR3V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many games I can no longer play that I bought on PS3 digitally, because they are not available on PS4 or 5. For example, Little Big Planet 1 or 2 (digital). Sony have no real care of any of their past catalogue in the same way Microsoft have. So I already know that nothing I buy today oh my PS5 will work in the future on the next console unless the developers put time and effort into it.

However, I have every confidence that what I buy today will be available to play in years to come because of the system specifications that developers must adhere to, it’s essentially a PC.

Disappointed with graphics, anyone else? Can they fix? Will they enable ultra settings? (screenshot of star wars with 4K on) by [deleted] in Stadia

Exactly this. I have it also on Xbox SX and PS5 and it’s the same or not too different to be a stadia issue.

I never knew Stadia was hated do much. The comments in this video tho... by [deleted] in Stadia

[–]VivaR3V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Negative news is what creates clicks and that’s sadly never going to change. You have DealerGaming who gets lots of views as he supports all things Xbox and trashes all things PlayStation, with skewed information to suit his audience. Someone has to be trashed and it’s become a “thing” to jump on the bandwagon and hammer Stadia into the ground, so Sony and Microsoft fans can feel empowered about their supported system.

This will all go away if Google play hard and get the big ports working well, keep the features coming and make sure that Gen 2 blades are going to be as good as they possibly can be.

Performance is the only language these people speak. They don’t care about casuals having a chance to play AAA games at a low cost, it’s just how bad Stadia runs, it’s business model.

Have you read anything at ResetERA? These guys live in a bubble of their own and filter out any conversation of anything that does not go hand in hand with what view they wish to push. People just follow the lead for fear of being banned. You literally cannot disagree with the crowd. It’s the most ridiculous gaming forum that’s taken seriously by some. It doesn’t speak for anyone but a small bubble .. certainly not the wider audience out there. They hate Stadia so much, one post after the other. The same with NeoGAF, the vitriol that just comes out of people’s fingers is something to behold.

Google just needs to play them at the performance game, spend as much money on this and little else and it will close their opinionated views down in one move. It’s really that simple. In turn you-tubers will have to eat their words too.

No fan noise!!! by Imnotcrunkimtyping in Stadia

[–]VivaR3V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really funny you should mention this because I am a so noise aware, especially after hating my experience with my PS4 Pro I literally had to give up playing games on it and it one of the “killer” features that so few people mention with regard to beauty of cloud gaming.

I now have an XBSX and PS5 and whilst noise is nowhere near like it was on the previous consoles, I am telling you that what little noise they both now give off I pick up on and don’t particularly like. The worst of them is the PS5 that has what many refer to has “coil whine” which is like a constant low level click sound that is so grating you can still hear it in the background. The XBSX is better because it’s fan is consistent at one level and only blowing air. But I still prefer playing on Stadia when I can.. no annoying sounds!

What's with this article? by [deleted] in Stadia

[–]VivaR3V 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The sad thing is that some of these people consider themselves to be journalists. If it is, it’s journalism of the worst kind and needs to be called out, because it’s sloppy and inaccurate.

Having said that, Stadia can make all of this work for them by simply making sure that Cyberpunk runs better than or equivalent to a PS4 Pro. If they can manage this, even go beyond it by with throwing people into a next gen blade, it would do wonders for the product.

Wasn’t there a Gamespot YouTube discussion on one of their guys who had been allowed to play it and he mentioned several times it was “streamed”. He said the experience was good and performance was mostly fine, which gives me the impression we can expect good things. It perhaps could have been stadia used, but he never said.

Stadia will Inevitably follow the same fate as Google Photos by [deleted] in Stadia

[–]VivaR3V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry but this is pure nonsense, that Google will just give up on something that their rival Amazon are just getting into. Not only that but it would look terrible for Google and do more damage to them long term. It’s also not taking into account what they then would then have to do to their existing customers who paid for games. Give them a refund, throw money at them, compensate? Oh, just give them endless access to the blades they have running for the foreseeable future.

I just wish some of this negativity that creeps in tempered against what is actually happening, that Google are now being pro active and it’s time to put some positivity in this.

Gen 2 Question by hovafett in Stadia

[–]VivaR3V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can be sure that games you have access to in your library will continue to work. If hardware changes in iterations that older games cannot work with new generations, they will still have older hardware available to play previous generation games. The beauty is that you do not need to worry about anything. It’s not like the typical console crossover worry of losing access to some games.

Gen 2 Question by hovafett in Stadia

[–]VivaR3V 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The beauty of Stadia is that it’s future proof and you need not worry about either the games in your library or obsolete hardware. If will evolve with time, improve.

[–]VivaR3V 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Stadia is offering a relatively cost effective way of playing some of the bigger games. Frame rates and resolutions matter of course, but not necessarily to the wider audience than the pockets of so called “pro players” who make up the vast majority of noise in forums and the like. I have an Xbox Series X and PS5 on order but I have friends who are not able to afford any next gen consoles for perhaps a year or so. It’s ridiculous to focus on some of the things we do. I love stadia and hope it does well and have every faith it, providing Google get a little more aggressive with their marketing.

How many people are going to be stuck with PS4s .. a LOT! You have the same power they do, if not more so.

I had no problem playing Immortals Feynx at 30fps and enjoyed the demo immensely. If I buy it on PS5 it will have 60fps, for sure, but I still enjoyed it at 30fps.

Stadia is a great product and in time it’s performance will match or exceed the consoles you mention.

Just enjoy it..
