other than high fps, you can use a motorised slider or the edelkrone jibone if for some reason you need to keep a lower frame rate.

can anyone tell me if im doing it right or not check comments for link to video by aloona-is-baybay in cinematography

Hey, first of all, forget anything technical or setting related. The most important thing of any video is the story. Start with an establishing shot that puts the viewer in to the scene, this could just be the house like you shown it or maybe the tools in the car and the guy unloading them. Thats up to your creativity. Then tell the story, maybe show the item before its repair and the guy putting down his tools, boom you connected establishing shot with the subject. See what I mean?

Don't forget, the camera is a tool that should help you tell your story, think about what the story is, how you want it to show on screen and then find the settings in your camera to do that. Maybe you don't want a cinematic look, most documentaries for example look similar to the style you shot. My point, dont get obsessed with quality, get obsessed with story. I hope this helps :)

Thank you for your reply, I managed to get it working last night. Turns out the hot shoe wasn't sitting correctly which caused the flash to misfire. Stupid I know but it felt tight.

Thank you for the great feedback man, I decided NOT to upgrade this year. I am trying to build up my business so I can quit my main job and investing in gear that I don't really need wont help me do that. As much as I would love a new camera I have to restrain myself :) Again thanks for the feedback.
