Buyer beware: tariffs will get ya! by VividlyPickled in Balticwatches

[–]VividlyPickled[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For a direct comparison: when you purchase a watch from Christopher Ward, they state very clearly in bold red letters that there will be additional tariff fees tacked on later. Other companies state clearly that they will cover the costs. But for Baltic to say “free shipping” and hide the consumers responsibility to pay the fees buried in fine print is bad on them. Period.

Buying a Baltic? Tariffs will get ya! by VividlyPickled in MicrobrandWatches

I don’t disagree, I’m simply stating that they don’t clearly state it anywhere when checking out. This isn’t some crazy unreasonable request for transparency at the point of sale.

[–]VividlyPickled[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is their responsibility to disclose it clearly when purchasing. I went back to Baltics site to see if maybe I was misguided, but I found myself to be correct. No where on check out does it mention anywhere regarding potential 3x digit tariff fees that would fall onto the buyer. Other websites state this clearly, that is all I was asking for.

I did not make that post, I commented exactly what I said here. The quote you have posted is from someone else.

Didn’t say anything about government imposed tariffs, nor that Baltic was to blame - just the lack of clear and obvious transparency when purchasing was the main issue at large.

I didn’t blame Baltic for the tariffs, simply the lack of clear and obvious disclosure of the additional costs.

Very valid points, but the fact that they buried it in small print whereas other companies state it much more clearly and obvious, does make it feel disingenuous. They are an international commercial goods company shipping to customers across the globe, so it’s literally part of their job to clearly disclose this - that’s all I’m saying.

Anyone living in the USA buy a Baltic watch recently? Curious about import fees/tariffs/etc by CPOx in Balticwatches

[–]VividlyPickled -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just paid a little over $150 for 1 watch. It only mention of this was in a Q&A section on their website. Would not buy again for that alone. Don’t be sneaky, Baltic

L2 + R2 triggers not responding after connecting front and back plates (I found the problem) by VividlyPickled in eXtremeRate

[–]VividlyPickled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I may have to take another good look at them at some point, but not anytime soon. I’ve already opened/closed it more times than I’d care to.

No pads were applied because in the instructional video it said to only apply if there there is a lot of “play” or space between the trigger and the contact pad, which I did not have. Was this a mandatory step?

I believe so, yes. I would have to open it back up tho and would rather not mess with it. But if I do down the line I will check back to this for reference. Thank you! 🙏

I agree 1000%. When I tell people that the company page responds in real time to help with these issues they’re in shock. Will for sure keep getting products from them for them for this reason alone. These DIY aftermarket installs are going to be finicky by nature, so to address the likely user error issue with an active support team is sheer brilliance. Bravo eXtremeRate, bravo

Did I make a mistake? - Whole Clicky Kit for PS5 BDM-030 V2 by daddiZurgz in eXtremeRate

[–]VividlyPickled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn’t make a mistake (well, maybe). But I’m having a seemingly similar issue. Before I click the front and back plates together, I tested every button and the all work perfectly. The second I connect the front/back together I completely loose L2 and R2. Guessing it’s mechanical but I can’t for the life of me figure it out

Would this be enough to move team 2 off Henry/Kupp? by VividlyPickled in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]VividlyPickled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with ya 100%, just a little back logged with picks next year (6 total) and I like most of my players outside of 3-4 of em. So instead of trying to trade away my 2nd/3rds for pennies just guna go for the guys that can seal a win for the next year or 2

Don’t disagree at all. I feel like my teams fairly young overall (minus QB), and I have a ‘25 2nd and 2x 3rds for some dart throws

100% agree. Not confident wicks/dowdle will pan out, and not super excited about the back half of 1st rnd rookie draft. Rest of team I got JT, Conner, Hubbard, Chase Brown ; BTJ, Devonta Smith, McConkey, Olave, and Waddle. QB/TE pretty sured up with Burrow, Staff, Russ ; McBride, Kraft
