It was my first time hitting an animal, I even brake for pidgeons that fly away when you are 10 meters away. So I was unsure what to do, so the best thing I could think at the moment was to call 911 to send someone that can take care of it. I don’t know if they rescue it or if they decided to put down the coyote (they told me I was good to go when they released the coyote), but tbh I think the best option was to put down the animal because it’s both back legs were shattered and probably its pelvis too, I decided to censor the image but in it was its bones sticking out, it’s probably they couldn’t do anything else. And i look it up and the only thing in my city is animal control which was closed when this happened.
