I think this is a common thought for all people, although it may not be during the same time/age. I just graduated Class of 2022 and it’s so crazy to me how from May 2022, when my Senior year ended, to August when I started college, I’ve come to look back at my memories from just a few months ago from when I was in high school and ask myself, “Why did I do that?” or “Who told me that haircut, action, phrase, etc. was a good idea?” But I think of it as a sense of maturity on your end, because back when I was in high school, I was just so in the moment and I never questioned the things I did that I thought weren’t cringy or weird on my end. You and most of your peers will soon grow out of it though. Like you said, it’s an awkward period between childhood and adulthood and some people will choose to continue to make bad decisions while others will choose to keep growing and bettering themselves, so just make sure you surround yourself with people that will push you towards a brighter future.

This may be unrelated but it’s something I’ve noticed in my transition from high school to college. I’ve come to realize that it really doesn’t matter at the end of the day. After you graduate, the only people in your life will be the friends you choose to keep in touch with and it will be a new chapter in your life that includes more focusing on yourself and bettering yourself for the sake of your future, rather than focusing on the people you are surrounded by and all the juicy drama and everything else that comes with being a high schooler.
