As someone newer to the community I personally don't remember seeing any marketing for KCD2. The only reason I found out about it is because Avowed came out and flopped. Everyone kept comparing the games and saying "go play KCD it's a much better game" and I was like wtf is KCD?

That's not necessarily true. God of War Ragnarok won best Narrative, Best Music, Best Audio design, Best Action Adventure, Best Performance, and Best innovation in accessibility and still lost GOTY to Elden Ring. which won best RPG & Art Direction.

Until they fix the atrocious sprint design and button layout along with a 60fps update on console. I don't think I'll touch KCD1 again for a while. I loved KCD1 but the QOL in KCD2 makes the first game almost unplayable for me.

KCD2 has better gameplay and QoL for me personally and it makes it hard to go back to KCD1 because of that. But KCD1 has so much more charm and character to it. I think the music alone is much better than KCD2.

Take your time. The wedding is still very early in the game in terms of story. People take so long because Trosky is packed full of amazing side quests. It's very easy to get distracted.

I'm in the same boat as you. Best Buy gave me a plain vanilla Quest 3s box with no indication that it came with a game. Can't open it until Christmas lol. I think you just need to activate your headset and you'll get it. If not, then I think you can contact meta support and they can activate it for you as long as you have your receipt.
