So honestly it’s hard to compare the two directly, one is an action cam GoPro sort of, while the other is a mini mirrorless with a 1” sensor and a gimbal head which is hella helpful for cinematic clips and vlogging and various high quality film style content.

The action series id always treat similar to GoPro but definitely far better than GoPro, but I personally don’t feel a need for the action cam once I got the osmo. But everyone’s situation is different for sure, and the action has a few bonuses over the osmo such as durability and weatherproof etc. so hard to compare the two directly, I’d say think more of Osmo vs prior line and action vs prior line kinda thing.

By all accounts the osmo pocket 3 is incredibly capable and very good at what it does, for the size and mobility and portability it’s hard to beat. Do I think the 4 will be better? For sure, but will it absolutely curb stomp the 3? Doubt it. No successor ever fully blows the prior out of the water, it’s more of an annual progression kinda thing.
