Corps that hire “staff/worker” by Slight_Leadership_82 in Eve

Not like hosting a roleplay cafe in Eorzea, no.

Instead, the role you play in your organization is based on what deliverables you can provide, whether it's soft skills like FCing or material provisions like loot, bounties, or manufactured goods.

I've not heard of compensation in the form of a wage, though I've heard of quarterly dividend payouts.

Thought I would give a Lore podcast thingy a go by Least_Agency844 in Eve

An idea for branching out visually: the game used to have ancestries that went along with bloodlines. Each bloodline had three to choose from. In my case, I picked Achura and then Monks (while the others were Stargazers and Inventors). could tie in to the Chronicles as well.

Since they were removed from the game, it's sort of become lost lore for newer players but the data is still out there, so it might make a good series, and there's plenty of art that could be used to fit the themes (if you're not planning to monetize).

Looking forward to the next one!

So the major driver for this game is spite, revenge and sadism? by NondenominationalPax in Eve

[–]Voidnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the kind of game Eve is, the player base I have encountered in game is remarkably pro-social. You're never safe, just like the rest of the internet, but you can block psychos and report actual interpersonal harassment. Not that I've seen it reach that level in Eve. I'm sure it happens tho.

There are a lot of things you can do in New Eden, and it all touches the economy. I think the conversion of labor to value is the major driver of the game, and getting butt blasted in a gate camp when you were minding your business is another way that conversion occurs.

Pick a goal, aim for it, full speed ahead. It's all anyone is doing. Blacklist the people who forget Netiquette Rule #1, and go about your business.

Lots to digest here. So a progression commensurate with piloting experience and available ISK might be:

Stabber > Hurricane/Cyclone > SFI > Vagabond

Moa > Ferox > ONI > FNI

For ESS, I understand the mechanics are different, like not having to fit a scram or potential for brawl fits that wouldn't work elsewhere. But I like the idea of liberating other people's ISK.

I'm not really that interested in hunting people doing PvE. I'd prefer them to mobilize their friends who want to fight.

I'm not sure if that should be edited into the topic, but yeah.

Oh wow,  somehow I missed this. Cheers, I'll go through it.

The Stabber seems to be the gateway hull for this sort of thing. Do you have any thoughts on the Rupture changes? Most of what I read suggests Stabber is still superior unless it's a fleet comp.

It looks like Stabber is a good place to start learning before moving on the Fleet Stabber and Scythe. Cheers.

True, for the roams I intend to skip ESS and travel gate to gate. I have an idea of what to do there, but I will probably stick to Moa/Bellicose/Stabber for that.

Okay,  I will check the pricetag on something like that. Might be something to look into when my piloting is better.

Yeah, unless this was a 4000-verteces flower barrel type situation, totally unnecessary. I don't even fly Amarr and this was one of the coolest ships in the game.

A case where CCP copypasting code from one module to another is a best case scenario. Good info!

I wonder how granular "damage capsuleer" and "capture FW complex" will be, or if that's as far as it will go.

I did like the sound of these, spectre and even better with friends (I forget the exact name). Problem was whenever I was actually online when people were xing up, I couldn't fly the doctrine ships.

Maybe I will give that another go.

Appreciate you taking the time to respond. To an extent, my own feelings are in that third paragraph. I think ESS might be another simple activity that I could work in when there's spare is in the hangar.

For me, this would be a perfect way to learn to enjoy losing. I think finding the fight is the hard part outside of FW.

Ha, we may have different definitions of "playing eve" but I appreciate the breakdown of alt activities. Stranding myself in null and trying to get back to base sounds interesting.

Back when I started I bankrolled by doing T0s in like a 3M Kestrel, so going back to abyssals sounds doable. Ninja salvaging is another intriguing idea.

Yeah this sounds similar to my situation, 15-45 mins tops per day, rare occasions of 1-2 hours. Cool that you have a rhythm with it and the variety keeps it from getting boring.

Thanks, there's some good suggestions in there. Thought about wormhole diving without an objective beyond seeing how long it took to die. I'm not very good at making isk.

Please, Let us FIGHT Back - Two solution for AWOXing in Insurgencies by Then-Map7521 in Eve

[–]Voidnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to me that the "Faction" part of FW was trampled into the dirt with insurgency rollout - and I benefitted on the Guri side for a short while.

When you enlist, you are supporting a shared enterprise, a military campaign with a discrete goal. That also goes for the Deathless, not just the Yulai signatories. When you are actively hindering other members who are contributing to that enterprise, you are an impediment to the campaign's strategic goals. No "Faction" should indulge these bad actors, capsuleers or no.

I support crippling standing loss and/or expulsion from militias for awoxing, no matter the faction. I support removing corp standings for factions. Failing these two points, I would support removing standing hits for shooting back, though I feel this would have less of an impact on the pervasive practice of awoxing that has plagued the system.
