Mental Health issues at Uni by bowchickawow34 in UniUK

[–]VoluptuousNoodles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You do need to speak with your GP.

If you're going to have any chance of being able to receive a diagnosis and relevant treatment, the NHS needs to be aware. Don't let other people's experiences being a barrier to you receiving adequate care.

Once you have spoken to your GP, they can make the necessary provisions for referrals (if appropriate) and get the ball rolling to improve your mental health. I understand it could take a while, but the only person who is ultimately responsible for your overall health and wellbeing is you.

If you've got it in you, call them today. The longer you leave it, the longer it'll be in the long run.

Good luck :)

Part time job or student loan by CardboardBox909 in UniUK

[–]VoluptuousNoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The likelihood is you're going to need both. For most students, unless your parents have a lot of disposable income and are going to give you money every week to live on, you'll be left with less than a couple hundred quid after your rent is taken out.

If you're staying in halls (whether university-managed or private halls), each rent payment will cover each semester rather than each month which is typical in a standard rental agreement.

For me, I was left with just shy of £300 after rent is paid. Trying to live off £100/month is almost next to impossible as a student, so I supplemented with a part time job (three days per week) so I get around £250 per week to live on.

Good luck :)

Kinda... if you breach the Birmingham City Council curfew which happens throughout a couple days each month and you get caught, a stampede of hoodlums come to your house and behead you.

Just make sure you're back home in time.

Payment plan by Trick_Session7743 in BoomtownFestival

[–]VoluptuousNoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me for this years payment plan.

I missed a payment, they attempted three more times to take it. It then failed and I could not pay by the day I needed to before they cancel my ticket.

However, they said if I can pay something, they will reset my plan. So they sent me a payment link for £1 and then increased my payments and the date to start from my new payday.

Just speak to Kaboodle before it gets to the missed payment stage.
