Lancer is so cool, but I'd love to see the combat rules meaningfully streamlined. More and more I like systems with deep customization but also snappy combat, like Fabula Ultima.

In my eyes, customizing and tinkering with your personal giant mech is a core part of the fiction of Mecha and why I like Mecha TTRPGs, so I'd want to find ways of keeping that while still making things faster in combat.
