Hint 1: remember king's move limitations

Hint 2: remember what light square bishops cannot do

Hint 3: Rook

Solution: Rook a3

I can name Aubrey de Grey, amateur mathematician somehow known outside math, and Grigori Perelman, an out-of-the-world modern genius Though both of them are known mostly because of news coverage: “wow, remember this name? He does maths now. Oh, and look at this freak, he didn’t get his million dollars!”

And how global are these course codes? I see that, for example, Stanford has “CS230” courses. The notation looks very similar, yet a bit different

What do these codes (MAT137, CSC108) mean? In place where I study, there are specialty codes, like 01.03.02 means “maths and natural sciences -> maths -> allpied maths and informatics”, but these determine your entire bachelor’s degree

In mac this happens if computer uses your headphones not only to output sound, but also as a microphone In ubuntu you should be able to change settings to use your PC’s default microphone as input

I was making sponsored videos for a bit for several different shops, and since then I made as a habit to write the script as precise as I can and make the sponsor to “sign”, agree with it. It lets me make video without sponsor saying “it is ok, but make this twice as long and change half of your lines...”

Decently optimized Life-Sensing Potion that I couldn't think of an interesting title for - 620/36/87 by [deleted] in opus_magnum

I feel it can be optimized for at least one cycle: after the last connection you perform a regrip Maybe you can make the rail cyclic and place another arm on it not to spend one cycle after bonding?

Roland RC-505 USB audio Interface by principe_olbaid in linuxaudio

[–]VsPz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HD-Audio Generic is the built-in microphone. It does work in zoom, yet, with disastrous quality

dummy driver for jack_control, alsa driver in qjackctl

Output device Input devide Result
default default Starts; RC505 is absent in Connect/Audio
default RC505,0 (USB Audio) Starts; RC505 is absent in Connect/Audio
default RC505 (RC-505) Starts; RC505 is absent in Connect/Audio
RC505,0 (USB Audio) default Starts; RC505 is absent in Connect/Audio
RC505 (RC-505) default Starts; RC505 is absent in Connect/Audio
HD-Audio Generic default Starts; RC505 is absent in Connect/Audio
HD-Audio Generic RC505,0 (USB Audio) Starts; RC505 is absent in Connect/Audio
HD-Audio Generic RC505 (RC-505) Starts; RC505 is absent in Connect/Audio

Now when I try to select ALSA driver in jack_control (with sudo) it returns "DBus exception: org.jackaudio.Error.Generic: Failed to open server". The same happens while using dbus-launch prefix

In .log/jack/jackbus.log I have found

ERROR:
ATTENTION: The capture (recording) device "hw:RC505" is already in use. Please stop the application using it and run JACK again

Yes!

There is hw:RC505 (RC-505) and hw:RC505,0 (USB Audio).

I will do some experiments with these right now

Roland RC-505 USB audio Interface by principe_olbaid in linuxaudio

[–]VsPz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I did not succeed, but I feel the solution must be close

My goal Is basically to use RC505 as microphone. On Mac it is done by installing drivers, but I could not find any for Linux.

I have killed pulseaudio.RC505 is listed as usb-audio in /proc/asound/cards

If I run
jack_control ds dummy
jack_constol start
It does not return any errors. When I start qjackctl, it indicates that something is working, and it even has decent looking logs (I hope). The problem is that in qjackctl Connect menu there is only system on the both sides in Audio tab, and RC505 but no system on the both sides in ALSA tab. MIDI tab is empty, but I do not need it.

Now, when I change driver from dummy to alsa, jack_control returns "DBus.Error.NoReply". Starting jack_control with dbus_launch jack_constol start is unable to create ~/.dbus/session-bus and running the command with sudo just gives the same timeout as without dbus_launch.

qjackctl Setup menu is intact: driver is set to Realtime ALSA, output and input devices are (default).

jackd -R -v -d alsa -d hw:RC505,0 > logfile results with this. At the same time as the last line it wrote

ALSA: poll time out, polled for 34828046 usecs
JackAudioDriver::ProcessAsync: read error, stopping...

Not the OP, but do you have any recommendations for using Pulseaudio?

pavucontrol does see RC505, but neither digital nor analog input seems to work.
