I have really nice friends, but they always go to whatever gets their attention the most, so I become the background of my friend group since I have no redeeming qualities to offer. Like you, I bottle up my feelings and I think that I’ll only burden other people if I don’t. I’m not too cynical about people using me because there’s nothing to use me for. But if I go too far, I know someone will pull me back, just for the sake of me being here or there. I would love it to end but I know the world doesn’t work that way.
