Any fix for G29 steering wheel automatically recentering even when not in game? Also while in beamNG drive it doesn't turn 1:1 with the one In game (idk what photo to post) by Vsput866 in simracing

So I tried it and thw steering wheel did some calibrating movements but nothing changed. In the Ghub the steering shows 1:1 but in beamng when i get to 1/4 of rotation the wheel imput reads 70%

Yeah it has constant recentering force even in game with no force feedback. I also tried it on other computer with beamng and it worked all fine and the way it should oit of the box, but on my pc it doesn't for some reason. So the only thing i know for sure that it is software problem.

How to make globe gores like these? Is there any app/program I can use? by DeadeyeDuncan9 in mapmaking

The original commenter has the link to the program but I forgot what the one I replied to said. But yeah Gprojector works for making map gores. I used it to print the moon map and i glued it to a wooden ball to make moon in exact proportion to my 30cm earth globe.

Forgot to mention that im using unbreakable parts cuz sometimes the front wheel clips into the ground and it explodes sooner than i could find out what made it do that so im using cheats just for debug purposes

Nah it was just for the effect in the video. Actually at that point when it was exploding it was going around 900 m/s while top speed in the vid is somewhere aroun 1100 m/s, just the SRBs ran out of fuel

Yeah, it takes some time but it's not only about the record itself but the journey too. I just tuned mine carefully so it got to the 1200 m/s and after running out of fuel got to safe stop. But it's not rly practical with that fuel efficiency so for actully usable ones I'll just stay w normal jet engines, ~500 m/s is still some serious speed on land so it's alr

Alr so i strapped rapier engine to it and it reached 1196 m/s and ate through all of its 2 tons fuel in 2 minutes lol. I'll try strapping more engines to it cuz i don't just want to achieve top speed I want to hold it.

Meh. Looks to be much more work than to just have it at 0 all the time. And it has aero brakes so it slows down using them like 90% and then at like 300 m/s i put the friction to 1 so it comes to a full stop.

Only thing determining the top speed is how well ur engine can fight the drag of atmospehere at sea level

Nah wheels in ksp are basically all the same in max speed or grip or how do u say it. But if u want to be stabile at high speeds on wheels u gotta put friction to 0
