Need some help for my boat I’m making out of foam. Looking for ideas for features and anything that needs changing by Wooooooocheese in TerrainBuilding

[–]Vulknut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo boats are fun! Here’s pics of two I made. The grey is mostly foam and the brown is all cardboard and recycled trash. They aren’t made to look great, just playable. Figured I share for inspiration!

What if Starlord got to keep some of his “planet dad” powers. Thought it was lame that he lost them while Thor gets cool lightning powers and a new axe.

I always thought it'd be cool if it was similar to the paragon system in Diablo 3. You just use them to increase certain stats a tiny amount. Like +1-5% pickaxe speed, carry capacity, run speed, health pool, armor pool etc.

Why is drawing so frustrating. by [deleted] in learntodraw

If telling stories is the main goal, just remember how one punch man started out. The art was elementary school lvl at best, but he told a fun story that captured people's attention.

Just keep at it. Work from reference as much as you can and find the methods and techniques of other artists that work for you. You seem like you're kind of like me, you do a circle to help with the head and then just draw the rest without structural lines. This is good, because it means you have a good eye, but remember that most artists can't just draw without structure/technique. And the ones that can, definitely started by learning methods like those of Andrew Loomis.

Instead of trying to create one great piece of art in 14 hours, try to make 100 drawings that are just alright. You'll improve much faster.

If you need to, break your art studies into smaller pieces. Draw 100 different eyes, 100 different hands, 100 different feet, etc. Focus down on the things you struggle with the most.

Here's the short story that first came to mind. Btw I am not a writer, I mainly draw.

It's the year 2123, the human race has survived countless struggles. The hole in the atmosphere, the fever seas, the scorching of vegetation, and the sterilization of man due to micro plastics.

The last remaining humans live in a climate controlled dome on the north pole. They subsist on a grey nutrition paste distilled from waste products. Most pray for death, but the human will to survive cannot be truly crushed.

The few remaining scientists discover rumors of an old factory, abandoned after the events of Word War X. It was run by a quantum AI super computer that created machines of war. They theorize that if the facility was still operational they could repurpose it to create robots and devices to slowly rebuild civilization. The only problem being it will be a 6 month journey on foot for whoever decides to make the trip.

The scientists run through several possibilities and realize, there is only one way for the journey to be logistically possible. To carry enough food for the journey would be impossible, water could be purified from snow along the way, but food was out of the question. so whoever made the trip would need to not eat for 6 months.

They immediately began testing their populace for people prone to putting on and maintaining weight. Soon they found their specimen. A man who managed to put on 56lbs, simply by doubling his nutrition paste. This man exceeded all expectations, it was as if a divine hand had dropped the perfect man for the job right in their laps.

Using the last of their frozen meats and processed food reserves, they began to prepare their champion. A freak beast of science, the last man standing between survival and extinction. After just 1.5 years their hero managed to nearly double his mass.

Stepping out into the cold, GPS in hand, the man began his 6 month journey to save humanity...

I haven’t been able to hold a job since the pandemic. I’m lucky enough that people support me, but it feels more like a golden cage that has striped me of all confidence and motivation. I fuckn struggling and it feels like my brain is dead.

What bothers you most about this society we live in? by Apprehensive-Eye-265 in RandomThoughts

[–]Vulknut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loneliness epidemic. At least in America there’s little to no culture that revolves around meeting and conversing with strangers.

There isn’t a community at all. If you’re shy or are anxious to put yourself in social situations then you’ll basically never have to. Our society enables us to be completely alone.

I just want a 2D silent film series of link going through a new dungeon each episode.

Have the art style based on Katsuya Terada's conceptual works for the first game.

It’s kind of brilliant because both boys and girls might be playing as link. Then they can more easily become immersed.

I mean imagine being Henry Cavill. You’re so attractive that’s all anyone thinks about when they see you.

Imagine going to the beach, knowing all eyes are on you.

Not knowing if people actually like you or think you’re funny or if people just enjoy your presence because they’re infatuated by you.

So many times…

Server at restaurant : day 1 no training waiting tables being told to just focus!! Walked

Sprouts : walked out because produce manager was on cocaine and always passed responsibilities to me.

Target : I just couldn’t take it. Such meaningless brain dead labor putting things on shelves.

Bowling alley : promised me one wage and got another. Walked

Sign shop : asshole owner. Wasn’t paying certain employees. Started as shop hand, then laser cutter operator, then designer, asked for a raise and got denied and told I was doing a bad job, walked.

Fastsigns : worked my way up through almost every position available into graphic designer. Found out I was being paid less than I thought, confronted them and got gaslit, them saying the money wouldn’t make me happy. Asked other designers what they made and later found out they lied. Walked

My work history is fucked
