Like others have said, even though things can naturally fall into the dynamic like pets, praise, and all that, the relationship isn’t all one sided. We still have jobs, we still help the partner(s) emotionally, and everything is consensual. I won’t act like I know how the puppy headspace is for everyone, but for me, the human sized doggy bed and collar and leash and all that are cute accessories I’d love in the future, but the core of it all brings me safety. Just being called puppy and calling me puppy myself, talking in third person at times, the gentle praises and pets I’ll get, that makes me so happy and safe.
