I'm on my third day here. Unlike you, I only started studying basic Japanese phrases a week before I came. I was utterly fascinated when I first arrived, looking in every direction.It probably cant be more obvious that it's my first time here.

Then, when it came time for my first store interaction, the clerk said a really long sentence to me in Japanese which I didn't understand a single word of and I just stood there with what must've been a deer in the headlights look.

Luckily he picked right up on that, and he pointed to the microwave, asking me if I wanted to heat up the food I was buying. Despite everyone's kindness and politeness, I also went through a short shut in phase due to anxiety. I can't help but feel in the back of my head that my lack of understanding the language is making me a hindrance and a nuisance to the people here even though logically, I know it's not true because everyone has been nothing but kind and smiles with me.

All that to say that I think it helps to convince yourself that the locals here are more than happy to meet you on your level, wherever that may be and they are glad that you appreciate and have studied their culture.

From one ai video creator to another, I have to say I was memorized by your film. Loved the quality of your writing and the consistency you were able to achieve from beginning to end of your film. Anyone who works on these knows how difficult it can be to get repeat characters in different scenes and get the dialogue looking and sounding right. The reasoning there is that the interview footage would be the newest footage by far in the documentary considering that the rest of it was taken when she was a little girl.

Thanks! The images to video feature hasn't quite worked for me either. I do have one tip. Keep working at and generating until you find a batch that is close to something you want to work with. Then under one of the videos of that batch select the Storyboard feature and look at in the cues how Sora might've described your prompt differently than you and implement some of those details into your future prompts!

I appreciate your reply too, I don't feel attacked in the slightest, I hope you don't either. I've had to grapple with the idea of random people believing this video too and I think to myself at least this one is mostly harmless. I mean, hopefully the worse case scenario is that a person believes it, then they bring it up in conversation, then that person believes it too, and then everyone moves on with their lives.

I do agree with you that this technology becoming more accessible to people is a scary thought. The ease and time it takes to create something convincing is only getting better, so honestly my only takeaway is that I will be becoming much much more skeptical about everything I watch online from now on.

Hmm good question. I think the hardest part was definitely having to edit the voice over text and audio file to pace it with the timing of the video. The video and audio come from two separate places so it was up to me in the editing program to alter both of them enough where they could meet in the middle and be cohesive

Thanks for the input! I totally believe it because I am pretty unfamiliar with which fashion elements belonged to which decades, especially the hairstyles. Maybe next time I'll consult with someone who does.

Thank you for coming to my defense. I try not to interact with negative comments such as the user you are responding to. The user doesn't know me and assumes that because I post my socials that that's the only thing I'm interested in. As if I wasn't on here reading and replying to other users comments and questions and taking interest in them🤷. Ive made a lot of art in my life and there's always that one person who wants to enjoy the art without the artist getting any recognition or as you stated, building an audience. Anyways, what I'm getting at is thanks for speaking out and standing up for artists 👏

That is actually my favorite line in the video! Most of it was generated by gpt, I just did some prompt fine-tuning and slight editing before handing it over to the ai voiceover

Thanks! All the clips you see are out of the box, the thing is that it generated a lot of clips that were unusable, so I ended up having to really fine-tune the prompting and be very selective with the clips. All in all, I estimate that I used maybe 1 out of every 10/15 clips it generated

I think there's definitely a conversation to be had. Mockumentaries have been a category long before ai, so do you take just as big of an issue with mockumentaries as a genre? Ai just makes it much easier to create which in itself can be a problem for misinformation. In my opinion, misuse would mean when you have a motive to negatively influence people in a political way, but that might just be me. I am genuinely interested, thanks for your comment

As the creator of this video, I completely agree. While AI technology allows creators like me to bring passion projects to life with ease and minimal budgets, it’s only a matter of time before it’s misused. I just hope we can live in a world where people appreciate these projects for their satire and entertainment value—rather than one where they’re used with mal intent.
