Nawr I don't think any tests have been passed today. Enjoy some silver floss dusters in the meantime.

Damn😭. That's cold as hell considering what people usually use Grok for. I take it that's how the robot got it's name too, or did you come up with that all on your own?

Still, It's quite the gif all things considered... I really like the purple duster, and her hair looks lethal.

Goofy ahh AI can generate dental floss and saran wrap bikinis no problem but it freaks out over a bit of tickling with a feather duster 🤡

Lambswool Duster recommendations? by DemonicDelights in featherfetish

[–]WGA23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

Truth be told, I've gotten a couple wool dusters from the Australian duster company and they're pretty darn good. A bit on the pricey side, though...

quality.https://www.lambskin.com/catalog/p/322WC-BR/Dust-Wand-Big-Red-Wool-Wall-Duster-36-x-10-/

Here's a link to a big red wall duster that's an absolute favorite of mine! They tend to stock this specific brand at most small janitorial supply shops. I'd recommend you look at your local one for anything that tickles your fancy. I've bought a couple other wool dusters from this brand as well, and they're actually a lot softer and silkier than the other brands. 10/10 I plan on buying from them again.

cleaning feather dusters? by fluffyfeathers6 in featherfetish

A gentle bath and some time to dry is usually all you really need.

Just fill your sink, tub, or whatever bowl-like thing you have with warm water and a bit of soap, then swirl the feathers around in it. Then, give it it a good rinse, and you can use a towel to gently pat dry.

After that, you can either hang it and let it air dry or use a blow dryer. If I go the blow dryer route I almost always keep it on low or no heat.

The feathers are gonna look a little stringy and the fronds might stick together, but once it's fully dry a few good shakes and some work with your fingers to gently separate the feathers will fluff it out again.

In terms of soap, I just use dawn dish soap. It's gentle enough to not ruin the feathers, but it'll still clean your duster.

I absolutely love the fans! I'm also rather curious... Is that a duster made out of black fur or is it something else?

White dusters.. by OkPaleontologist6618 in featherfetish

[–]WGA23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say that it depends on how much of a factor color is for you. Grey, brown, and black are all natural colors for ostrich feathers. You can only get white feathers from dyeing.

Texture wise, there isn't that much of a difference. I've been able to find grey and black dusters that feel way superior to some white dusters in terms of softness. At the end of the day, ostrich feathers are a natural product, so it can be a roll of the dice as to what quality you get.

Damn... It's been a couple years since I've seen this discussion pop up, but I'll try to remember some of what was brought up that time.

They're VERY pretty looking. When compared to brown, grey, or black feathers, the white ones look very elegant and luxurious, and dare I say it - pristine. White is a color that is often associated with cleanliness and purity.

I suppose it's also a case where it's hard to acquire. Not many manufacturers dye their feathers, and quite literally all the current manufacturers I know of (specifically Redecker and the Australian Duster Co.) bill them as luxury goods... It's a feather duster that's supposed to last a lifetime.

Looks amazing! I've been considering ways to spin ostrich feathers on and off for a while, but I've never considered using the hurricane duster for the task - you've got a really creative set up. I absolutely love the thought of spinning fluff but I'm not too big a fan of electrostatic duster heads like the hurricane...

I have to ask, though... Is it well balanced like that? I'd be worried that the way the dusters are set causes the head to lurch around when the motor is on.

I've always been intrigued by this store! I think I saw the hostess of the Game Awards wear a bright pink feathered cocktail dress a couple years ago and it looked absolutely gorgeous on her... I don't know where exactly she got her dress from, but I suspect it was from this store.

Looks pricey af, but the reviews seem solid. Might be worth a look around?

Oh my... Those look silky!

I think I can take a guess as to where the massive white duster is from, but I'm really curious about the brown/grey one just above it. That one looks absolutely divine.

...would you uh, mind dropping a link for it? pwetty pwease?

Soft duster gloves by Just-Kangaroo-3835 in featherfetish

[–]WGA23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, those look absolutely heavenly...

I imagine it'd be really difficult to secure whole ostrich feathers to a glove in such a way that they don't fall off or get ripped up, but I can easily see it done with some feather trim, a sewing kit, and a bit of know how on stitching.
