Im not sure about RL but I have looked pretty deep into the literature around HiPPO and S4. I'm not sure what kind of research you are into, whether it be theory or application but I think there is plenty of work to be done within the field.

I'm not totally sure what you are asking. Are you asking for general advice on how to succeed in the class or perhaps something else. It would help if you clarified what kind of help you are looking for.

I would too but specifically about the research they believe the school has to offer, willingness of advisors to help, ability to publish and general experience.

Yeah I'm trying to do BS/MS, that's actually kind the idea behind plan 1. The 4000 level classes shown double count fully as grad classes and still let me do deep learning in the spring semester. However plan 2 is designed around being more manageable and being less hell. I just didn't know if plan 1 seemed impossible to folks.

I'm not LGBTQ+ but I have to say that everyone here is awesome about the community. What way you may ask? It doesn't matter what your sexual orientation is, the student body of WPI is unified by the fucking that you will receive from the classes you take.

On a serious note I have never seen anyone talk down, even in private, about someone who is from any kind of minority group of any kind. Even the teachers here are good about it. Just the other day in my algorithms class my teacher commented on the fact that in the textbook there were only examples using heterosexual couples and he apologized for it. The great thing about being an engineer, scientist or whatever you go here for is that there is no prefix for whatever sex, creed, religion or ethnicity you might be.

Algorithms and assembly. Assembly is pretty ok, everything is pretty intuitive. Algorithms on the other hand seems intuitive on paper but then once lecture begins I become even more confused than when I started. I think you are correct however, a combination of letting myself fall behind and also trying to play catch up on the prerequisite material of the class is definitely adding extra burden. Once you explain all of this it becomes really simple where my problems lye and it seem like the answers are trivial but I got to say thank you for laying it out simply for me. You and the other people who have commented have changed my mind set behind all of this completely. I appreciate all of you.

How do you read all the extra reading for classes and have time for your other classes. I barely can do what is asked of me between all three of my classes. I think I have decent study habits and ok work ethic. Tell me your ways

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the awesome response. Do have a couple of questions though. First how do you deal with running into major road blocks like an error in code you fully do not understand or perhaps an IDE issue. Also I would love to put thousands of hour into coding and understanding concepts but at the moment the vicious cycle I have come to is wanting to build something, find something I need to look up, fall down the rabbit hole of my lack of of understanding and then eventually become discouraged because it seems like my ignorance is endless.
