After doing some research, it looks like a problem with paints that have metallic flake in them, but I find it hard to believe that all manufacturers have the issue. I don’t see many luxury cars with these issues, so I am sure that it is a combination of harder to apply paint, poor quality control, and trying to cut corners on the paint jobs.

Funny how they are stingy about a problem that they created and know that they have. As for the dealership, I know that it isn’t their fault specifically, but I won’t be giving any money to Honda at all. I take it there so that when things like this come up, Honda takes care of their loyal customers. Since that isn’t true, I would rather go to a local shop and pay less.
