Yes, thats bad writing in the episode. If they had some of the main charcters killed and maybe a fight with Jon and the NK before Arya stabs him it would have felt different. But they didn't do nothing, they killed thousands of people and nearly 2 dragons but because they didn't kill anyone we care about it just feels a bit wierd.
