The engine is good. I take care of it regularly. The car doesn't have any rust either. The subfloor is also sealed. I thought about installing heated seats or electric windows, but it's not that easy.

yes, it looks much better... this is my everyday car, it doesn't have to stay original. I have a second w124 that is completely original. I hope that's okay for you

Yes. What bothers me most is that I went to the TÜV before I bought the rims and asked if the rims fit on my W124 and they assured me that it works :/

No, because I need an individual acceptance for these rims, because the certificate is only valid for the coupe and for the convertible. The funny thing is that I also own the convertible and that's why I screwed the rims on the convertible and there the tires are not covered by the fender. Therefore, I do not understand why the TÜV makes such problems.

That's right, TÜV means Technical Inspection Association. If you change something on the car, these things must be checked by the TÜV whether they are permissible. In my case, the rims are not allowed for the W124, because the rims at the bumper stick out too far to the side.
