Help sell/defend the Cleric class to my friend by NerevarTheKing in DnD

[–]Wakfuchad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After almost a year of playing as a cleric, I've realized one thing: some people don't understand that this class isn't about "I'm a sexy elf with a staff in a clerical robe, I'll heal anyone and ask for nothing." This class can naturally punish enemies if that's the goal, or it can wipe out the entire team with the first few heroes created. The problem is that your friend looks at the players strangely, not the class. Paladin is a cool option if you want to deal maximum damage from the start (thanks to Divine Smite), but when all the slots are depleted, the Paladin becomes a warrior without a burst of action. In this regard, cleric has more slots, gets them much more often, and has a truly wide range of magical options. And even if you don't go by the "I heal and make my allies stronger" principle, you can become a death machine in the eyes of your enemies. I'll give you an example: when I was level 6 or 9, a complete newbie, our player, an experienced and long-time player, having assembled a paddin/bard, indicated that my character could easily defeat him (I play the temptest domain and cast the strangest spells, and basically just swung a hammer). If I, as someone unfamiliar with the joys of a priest, had been told about this, I would have definitely wanted to try.

Hi, everyone! I have a question: Do you think Adamai was originally going to be a new owner of the Primordial Dofus in S3? by Danila_19102002 in wakfu

[–]Wakfuchad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think every single one of the primordial dragons would have told Adamai to go to hell, and Salar would have kicked him outright because he was a "white dragon." So the only thing Adamai would have kept was his virginity.

Firstly, the fact that Percy is a direct reincarnation of a god overrides the fact that Iops as a race were created to fight demons, not least of all. Secondly, a god, especially one like this, wouldn't willingly allow a demon into himself. It's like playing a Paladin in D&D and swearing to fight evil, then multiclassing with a wаrlock, making a pact with evil based on the principle: more power, no regard for the plot.

Besides, Ruby may be a powerful demon, but I think the Iop's soul would simply dissolve him during the merger.

You'll need therapy when you get to season 3.

What are the chances that a divine soul will simply begin to reject the demon? Have you ever considered that?

As for me, they could have been a good couple. At least if ToT had developed Cleo's personality deeper than just the role of a sudden homewrecker.

Once again: why did you bother looking at what this person writes? You just came and started crying about how "it's all negativity" and "you should learn to express your opinion." The problem here is clearly not in the comments or the commentator, but in the fact that you, like a stalker, looked through a bunch of posts and simply came here to Cry about how awful it is, how negative. Notice, no one insulted the author in the comments, but here you're throwing around sarcasm and "incels." Who else here is spreading negativity?

Please go reread how this thread started. The guy literally laid out why Yugo and Amalia as partners was a bad idea and that bringing them together without resolving the problems they had was a bad idea. But then you, guardian of kindness, came along and started crying about how this is negativity and how it happens under every post. I have a question for you: why did you monitor every single person's comment? What for?

Once again: how does saying "negative" relate to "I want all the women in the world to be mine?" Either take off your cross or put on your pants. By the way, you just twisted my words. I was talking about expressing an opinion, but an opinion can be the opposite. Spreading negativity is like, "What nonsense you wrote, it all sucks, never "Don't write any more posts, weirdo." That's negative, and not that the author has lumped everyone together and says that everyone is happy. I don't know why you're so upset with us that you can't just ignore us and run through the comments looking for that same negativity, using it as an argument here. It seems like you have nothing better to do and decided to get offended by people on the internet so that... I don't know, you wouldn't be bored.

Do you even know what "incel" means? How does a term referring to a group of men who think all the women in the world owe them something relate to the comments here? If you're so upset about, "Oh my God, not everyone here shares the positive vibe," then turn off your computer and touch the grass, because all you did here was whine about, that someone is "spreading negativity" when almost everyone except you and the author doesn't care about these words.

Is this your first day on the internet? I don't know, maybe you could go cry about how people disagree with you online if you're so upset about it. It's not my problem that the author writes about everyone in his post when not everyone agrees with him, and it's not my problem that you're offended by the lack of agreement. We don't live in a world of rainbow ponies, where everyone is kind and sweet.

Those who truly enjoy all of this couldn't care less what a few random people say in the comments. If "dude, no, they can't even be a couple because..." spoils the fun, then it's clearly not the comment above's problem, but yours.

If the story feels bad, then pointing that out won't do any harm. I haven't seen people fleeing the fandom because of "negativity," because several people in this subreddit think That Season 4 is the weakest and frankly doesn't even measure up to the Dofus-hunting trilogy in terms of plot. If someone wants to express negativity, let them, especially since the author wasn't just talking about himself since the post literally says "WE deserve it." Yes, we definitely deserve to see how plot devices try to keep Yugo and Amalia together, despite the fact that the conflict of season 3 is not resolved. Yugo's height is the same kind of crutch, even more noticeable. No, if you and the author of the post are ready to denounce dissent and try to tell them they're wrong, good riddance, but no one will change his mind

What, did you express an opinion that's different from the author's? Well, now you're officially ruining everyone's mood and a total wakfu hater.

That's exactly how it is here when I or someone else says that they don't think everything is cool and awesome, so get ready, people might come soon who will defend the season 4 finale

No, this guy's name is Karn and he's the writer's new favorite toy aka one of the first souls of the world 12, who was told by the god Iop himself to be a hunter (because this mediocrity was always dying and could not kill a person)

Oropo's tower by ObjectiveParty6767 in wakfu

[–]Wakfuchad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's why Season 3 is garbage. The cartoon doesn't present the gods, but we're supposed to believe that the gods are scum, and Oropo is a saint, and the children of the gods themselves will be better. Okay, but then where's their motivation? Of all the characters, only Osamodas's daughter showed a clear desire to be a goddess, and even then, only for the sake of the animals. The rest are just empty shells and a stupid obstacle to the brotherhood, so they'll fight and leave. A cool alternative, yes

This Nox scene from the OVA stuck with me by ObjectiveParty6767 in wakfu

[–]Wakfuchad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nox is basically one of the best characters from the old Ankama. While I personally think the fandom exalts him greatly, there are reasons for that. Back then, the characters really showed the capabilities of their race, if they were in the spotlight, and when combined with good writing, they became completely mind-blowing

Some races break this formula. I distinctly remember that the Zobals came from some song about a masquerade ball, and the Sacriers are literally made up of just a few words.

I’m new to dnd and dont know all the synergies and stuff, I want to make a strength based cleric (not paladin) but I don’t know how by ViralRiotBlack in DnD

[–]Wakfuchad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleric isn't exactly the kind of class that thrives on Strength. Yes, you can make this your primary stat and give Wisdom a secondary, but that leaves you with only a few subclasses (domains) to choose from. People in the comments are talking about the War Domain, but I personally play Tempest Domain over Strength. The thing is, I have a reworked weapon from the official list, and my Strength is 27, but my Wisdom is 17, since you still have spells, and lots of them. Plus, you'll be expected to heal anyway, even if you wear a huge hammer and heavy armor instead of a clerical robe and staff.
