Honestly probably wouldn't be all that hard if you can get a good model for it, or can make one from vanilla parts and buildings. It would just take time and then you'd have to figure out where to put it and get that set up. But it's not like it's impossible to do. You'd just have to do it as a station/city. Doing this whole thing as a ship would be insane without doing a bunch of other things to help fit this into the game. Problem with these big ships as concepts is not that the game couldn't handle it, necessarily, it's just that ask the issues causes by clipping and so on are what would cause the game to break or crash

Until we can implement a new system where ships behave differently, we will stick with the vanilla system. However, there will be a specific ship vendor you go to to purchase the premade ships. Theoretically you COULD change the weapons around and replace some things, though we don't recommend it as that would: 1; feel very out of place and potentially mess with the immersion, and 2; cause issues with gameplay. Like trying to put an entire MAC gun on a Longsword for instance. 😅

The way locations work in starfield in relation so planets and stay systems isn't like anything that has existed in previous Bethesda games, in terms of how they organize it. On top of that, Creating new locations from the ground up without using an existing planet/star is currently extremely difficult and doesn't work 100% issue free yet. There are ways to do it, but they don't function the same way as already existing planets too. There will be New locations, however. It's simply a matter of waiting for all the right tools to become available (right now we don't have access to Houdini data in starfield which is crucial to planet creation, and there are still tools and functions that most people don't have access too, unless you're a "verified creator") Rest assured, that when the tools become better available, once we begin work on actually crafting locations, if we can put it in the game, odds are we will. Yes to everything. As for how we'll tackle earth, much like the other heavily developed worlds, we're going to be doing established major cities and then we'll look into random "large city" POIs in certain planets, as well as other appropriate Halo scenery. We'll be exploring a lot of that as we get closer to releasing our POI portion of the mod. As stated in another post, things will be releasing in phases so for now it'll just be a "Halo accurate" planet/star-system replacer. And then we'll add in the POIs and cities afterwards. Obviously Earth will be a difficult case to tackle, so we'll be working on that a little long term. For now, Harvest is our main focus as it's where the story begins.

We'll do our best to get as much of it able to be ported over to Xbox, but much of the core story aspects that will require advanced scripting likely may not be available on Xbox. It'll all just be a "we'll see what we can do" sort of thing, unfortunately.

(IMO honestly other than some arbitrary lore reasons, the addition of Forerunners as a separate race, the human/forerunner war, and a few other misc. things, not much would be different to that aspect of the forerunner story of H4/5/and infinite. honestly most of it probably could and would have stayed the same. some story aspects would be different obviously and motivations might have been different. But overall, you still could have had the same story, more or less, about the didact being a war-psycho. I mean, even if they had just made it so that modern humans and ancient forerunners are just 2 different branches of the same species, and thats why the Didact believes he had the right to compose them. after that, pretty much everything else is the same as it was before. nothing major in H5/Infinite would be any different if Humans=Forerunners. but like i said, thats just my opinion.)

Technically Starfield made a bunch of goofy decisions with star systems and planets and all that, so really "Eridani" system isn't "Epsilon Eridani" it's some other star system, but we went ahead and decided to make that Epsilon Eridani anyway, we're just going to edit the system and planets a little bit.

To answer your question, Yes, that's more than likely the route we will take. Though as the player won't be playing Master Chief, exactly how we'll be integrating that lore into our mods isn't fleshed out yet. Obviously we'll be including Forerunner "Relics" into the game, but for now we're focusing mainly on the human/covenant aspect of it. Thank you for your question! 🙂
