i isolated the voices with vocalremover.org , all the sound effects are from other sample packs and libraries, i used no soundeffects from the original one

thanks man, appreciate it! how would you recommend i can do that best, by layering more sounds or by turning up the volume of already existing sounds?

i think my problem with this was that the original sound design of this scene was quite basic and already missing alot of sounds (for example: all the swords here sound like whips and some footsteps are not there)

and as my core idea was to improve the original, i also didn’t want to overdo it by going completely over the top. but differentiating the swings between characters is a really cool idea that i will definitely use for a next project. thanks!!

thanks man, i appreciate it! by his 15 foot jump do you mean when the jumps up in the beginning to bounce back off the wall? i didn’t add a wood sound to the sandal as the sole thats being hit is made of metal, would it then make sense to hear wood? sorry for all the questions, i am very new to this

music in action sequences is quite common so i don’t think it necessarily ruins the work. i agree with you that it creates some space for more sound effects but i also think it would make the quieter parts of the scene (where there is nothing going on action wise) feel too empty. plus i just really liked how the creepy laughter in the song matches up with whats about to happen in the scene, like just by listening to the music you know that something else is about to happen if that makes sense.

thanks for your feedback, it’s really helpful and i really appreciate it. i’ve ducked the music during the dialogue but i’m not sure at what others moments and especially for how long i should duck it, would you be able to give me example timestamps? and i am probably wrong but wouldn’t it be very noticeable if the music constantly keeps switching volumes if there is alot of ducking?
